[Resolved]  Ghaziabad Development Authority/up Traffic Police — Shipra-noida sec 62 underpass a mess

This is to bring to your notice the miserable condition and management o[censored]nder pass on NH 24 between indirapuram Ghaziabad and noida sector-62.

Its really sad to see this condition of the underpass which is just over a year old and that too hardly serving the purpose for which it was constructed in the first place.

I am resident of indirapuram and have to travel to sector 62 daily morning for my office, which is a 5 mins drive(ideally). But most of the times it is really impossible to drive my car through the underpass at office hours and i have to take the highway to reach sector 62 which takes more than half an hour.

This is the plight of hundreds of commuters travelling to noida from Indirapuram.
The main problems :
1) No maintenance of the road leading to the tunnel, full of potholes.
Just a few months back major roads in noida were renovated, but the road leading to the tunnel was untouched. Why is that ? Noida authority had done their part and ghaziabad authority dint??

2) No traffic police to regulate the movement of vehicles.
Its a free for all in the office hours. No lanes. In a narrow tunnel like these where there should be only 2 lanes for the incoming/outgoing traffic its a total chaos with tens of lanes on one side itself with bikes, scooters, cars, trucks trying to squeeze in.
Tractors, trucks heavy vehicles also using the narrow tunnel.

The main purpose of this underpass was to de-congest the traffic on NH24. The initial proposal was to construct 3 underpasses : one near Shipra Mall, another at Kala Pathar and the third near the Indirapuram police station. The plan was shelved for god known reasons.

Now only 1 exists and i dont see what purpose it is solving??
Residents need more underpasses and proper maintenance and traffic management of the existing one, the least they can expect from the authorities.

Thanks,
Sushil

Yes true the condition o[censored]nderpass is miserable, I m sure all Development authority and traffic police r well aware of situation but nobody want to work on it.
Also UP rules are just for name sake no one is following those Rules and I am sure same situation exists in many other places too, here I can see lot of educated fools here who make Traffic Jam and drive vehicle on wrong side don't have simple understanding.
Many problems exist its not easy to quote all of them.
In short nobody will come to teach you everything you have to take initiatives from your own for same. Problem is not India's problem, it is Indians who are making things complicated for each others.

Jai Hind
Yes, its vey difficult to pass that underpass, if someone can see for it it will be really gr8.moreover there is no security in the sector 62 and shipra inderpass connectivity, it make that area really dangerous at night
yes i agree

govt. should immediately should do something

firstly more underpasses near Indiapauram and on NH-24. so that no jam on NH 24

actually this should have planned earlier. when flats are developed on Highways it should have been planned how and from where the occuopants will come on highway so there should not be any disturbance for smooth flow of traffic on highway.

Underpass near Indiapuram(kala Pathar) should be of minimum four to six lanes so that it can cater traffic developed flats in Indirapuram Vaibhav Khand Nyaya Khand etc. traffic from there can come via slip road. and then it should pass through underpass it should go to Noida and then from slip road it may come on NH 24. so that no disturbance on NH 24.

Govt. should look linto jam at Khoda also. turning from there should not be allowed at all.
There is urgent need for widening o[censored]nderpass near Indiapuram. It should be of six lanes. It should be planned to cater traffic in Indirapuram for years to come when traffic is likely to grow many fold.

The chunk of investment made in infrastructure quickly returns to Government. The cement, sand, diesel etc; are subjected to sales tax, excise duty, royalties etc. TDS is almost on every payment. It will save lot of fuel wasted daily and also save pollution caused.

A representation should be made alongwith photographs of jammed traffic through RWA followed by organising a press conference at underpass to highlight urgent o[censored]nderpass on NH 24.

Underpass at Khoda is also required to avoid jams at NH 24. Turning on NH 24 from there should not be allowed.

Saving of fuel wasted daily and reduction of pollution caused should also be highlighted. If you willing lawyers in RWA, have a PIL filed citing filing of representation and its status with administration.
Yes, agree. Same problem we are facing on NH-24. I am resident of Indirapuram and go to Rail bhawan everyday. Instead of putting a signal on Khoda (NH-24) traffic police has blocked the road. Therefore it takes 15 minutes more to reach Ghazipur signal. There also installation of new traffic signal is creating mess only. Again at NZM flyover its rush like hell.

UP rules are just for name sake no one is following those Rules and I am sure same situation exists in many other places too, here I can see lot of educated fools here who make Traffic Jam and drive vehicle on wrong side don't have simple understanding.

I think GOD is there only in UP (Ulta Pradesh).
I agree, not only it is a mayhem for daily commuter. It also creates problem for people using the highway NH 24 as it is choked with the traffic which only needs to go to Noida. Good underpasses will ease things a lot. But I think there are more builders in Noida than Indirapuram. and if there will be good flow between indirapuram/vaishali to Noida, People might prefer these location as opposed to Noida and hence resulting in loss to Noida Builders.
i agree
Indirapuram underpass @ 10 AM, this is the daily scenario and its getting worsen day by day.
