Govt Service — Non receipt of IT Refund

Sir,

I am a serving defence officer and presently posted in Delhi. I am a Income Tax Assesse in Ward / Circle 27(2)(4) and my Permanent Account Number (PAN) is AFBPS4427D.

I had filed my Tax Returns for the Assesment Years as per the following details. It is stated that the Refund Orders for the under mentioned years have not been received by me till date.

1. 2006-07 Ack. No.10606327/31.07.06 (Deposited with ITO Mumbai) Rs.18507.00
2. 2005-06 Ack. No.2496/26.07.05(Deposited with ITO Visakhapatnam) Rs.14242.00

It is requested that the Refund Orders may kindly be issued to me at the earliest.

Govt. Service — Non-Receipt of Refund from IT Department for Assessment year 2007-08

My PAN Card No. ACDPR7023H

Submitted my IT Asst Form for Asst Year 2007-08 to Ward No.42(3), IT Office, New Delhi.
Refund amount claimed is Rs.5100/-
Receipt of IT Return for asst year 2007-08 acknowledged vide Receipt dated 17 SEp 2007.

However, I yet to receive the refund amount of Rs.5100/- nor i got any information from IT department about Refund.

Please advise further course of action.

I filed my income tax return for the financial year 2006-07(Assessment Year 2007-08) in circle No. 40(1) Mayur Bhawan, Connaught Place New Delhi vide receipt No. 750408 dated 13.7.2007 for a refund of Rs. 13605/-. On 8.8.2008 I visited the income tax office to know the status of my refund application and came to know that it has not been processed. The Income tax officer asked me to give a copy of the return to which I complied. I visited again the income tax office in the month of December and came to know that my refund has still not been processed. I again handed over a copy of my application to the concerned officer. Since then I had been visiting the office of income tax every month but so for no action has been taken by the Income Tax Officer on my Income tax return and I have not received my refund till date. I shall be grateful if you could help me to get my refund and oblige.
