[Resolved] Guwahati Passport Office — NOT RECEIVING APPLICATION FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL | |||
Is it Guwahati Passport Office working properly? They are always after rejecting passport application with valid document. I have old passport submitted in Guwahati Passport Office to renew. Old passport means I had submitted all necessary documents at the time of making new passport. Now they are not accepting one after anther reasons: 1) I am staying in Shillong, from Shillong does not have passport office therefore I had gone down to Guwahati Passport Office on 19/03/2010 to submit but they dint accept because time was 1:30 pm and they never accept in afternoon. As much I know Passport office is run under central government and it should open till 5:30 pm. My time, money and energy waist on that day. 2) On Next time again I had gone down to Guwahati passport Office in time to submit my passport to renew on 01/04/2010. Again they had rejected because my passport photo has background not in white color. Again I waist that day. 3) Next time again on 08/04/2010, I had gone down to Guwahati passport Office in time to submit my passport to renew. Again they had rejected because I dint enclosed NOC certificate from my office. Again I waist that day. 4) Again on 16/04/2010, I had gone down to Guwahati passport Office in time to submit my passport to renew. Again they had rejected because I dint enclosed marriage certificate. Again I waist that day. 5) Again on 23/01/2010, I had gone down to Guwahati passport Office in time to submit my passport to renew. Again they had rejected because I had enclosed another recent photograph in my NOC certificate. They need all the photos in same size and color. Again I waist that day. 6) Now recently they are rejecting because on the photo I have cross signed. Guwahati Passport Office does not have any help desk and it has surrounded with passport agent inside as well as outside. It is difficult to identify the person working there are employee’s or agents? An agent means they need money and I am not willing to pay even single pennies. Now problem is that office is not in Shillong, to submit in proper way. Shall I go to RTI, why they are rejecting again and again? Is there having any authority or department to vigilance against this office to receive complain? I am tired with this department. This organization is corrupted and should be exposed. passport — Non receival of passport applied for RENEWAL on 12/01/2009
Dear sir,With due regards I would like to inform you that I had applied for renewal of passport on 12 Jan 2009 and the details of it is as follows:Name-SANTANU BHADURI, File Ref. No -A002178 & City CAL..The police verification in my local police station which is SERAMPORE had been completed by the end of 3rd week . I am a general citizen of India without any involvement with any political organizations and Crime .But sorry to say that an unlimited time has passed but tha status shows that the police verification has not been received by the passport office of kolkata.I am at a loss & would be greatly obliged if you please look into the matter at your earliest.
PASSPORT OFFICE — Not receiving of Passport
I submitted application on 06-May-2008, for change in my surname after my marriage. My File no is JPRH00566708. As per instruction mentioned on Passport information booklet and website (https://passport.gov.in/) I submitted my marriage certificate issued by Registrar of Marriage along with affidavit as per annexure “D” on non judicial stamp paper.In this regards I received a letter on[protected] regarding submission of affidavit on judicial stamp paper.
As per “point (ii) of (a) of (B) of Section IV – Documents to be attached with the Application of Passport Information Booklet, ” I have to submitted an attested copy of marriage certificate issued by Registrar of Marriage or an affidavit from the husband and wife along with a joint photograph. I submitted both the document.
Till today I have not received my passport after change in my surname. In this regard I send various e-mail on this e-email address rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in but I did not received any reply regarding this.
Kindly do the needful.

first of all mr barua throw your all documents except your old passport, instead of wasting your time in writing u should know the details how to apply.i[censored] make it online you had to submit the document in given time that is u can go directly to the counter and submit without making any qeue.

So, i paid the necessary penalty and completed the police verification at my permanent address in the year 2009. Since then there was no response from RPO office. Hello Sir,I am giving my SAT on 7th may and i have not recieved my passport from renewation.i gan=ve my passpor almost a year back but i have not yet recieved.i have gone to the passport office several times but they tell me that we have not recieved the police report.
i went to the police and made the report and sent it to them in front of me. i am very worried about my passport.

But till today the online status shows as " Pending for physical police verification at your respective Thana under SP Office, District Tinsukia. ", since i have submitted all attached documents in the police station a four month ago. Sir I 2 months ago I had send a mail to Guwahati Passport Office regarding the delay of the matter, but no reply received from their end. All verification is done in Local S.P office SL. No 1094/13.12.2012. Kindly help to sortout this matter.
So, I request you to issue my passport very soon.
