[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Screwed Up with HDFC Bank Personal Loan system

Hi Friends,

I’v applied for a personal loan in HDFC bank via online on 17th of November 2011, references ID: [protected], they took two days to log in my loan application. I’v been in touch with the loan department via phone and emails. In the first week they said you that their loan manager is on leave and they were unable to process the loan at that moment. Alright, I agreed with them and gave them time that they required to process my loan. In the second week they said that my documents are under review and my loan will be processed in three business days.

K good to hear that right, here starts my pathetic story; in early of the third week I contacted the rep who is handling my loan procedure. Surprisingly she said that all “MY DOCUMENTS WERE MISPLACED” and they need complete documentation to re-login my loan application. Huh, you know what; I kept my cool and ran to HDFC bank (Ameerpet, Hyderabad) to submit my entire documents once again. The rep said sir don’t worry your loan will be processed in three business days. I waited for four days and called the rep, she said, sir you got a positive result in our verification, but we need a latest “BANK STATEMENT” to process your loan. Again I ran to HDFC Bank and submitted my latest bank statement. The rep said please give us three more days we will get back to you with an update. You know still with a patience mind I said k do it ASAP.

Today on 16th of December 2011 when I called the rep, she gave phone to her manger, and he quietly said “SIR PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR RESIDENTIAL PROOF” we will process your loan in three business days. Now what I have to say? Do I need run again to HDFC bank to submit the document they required?
Now anybody tell me, does a bank take one month of time to process a loan? Don’t you think misplacing personal document is a crime? I don’t understand what kind of security these people are providing to customers personal information.

I would have more than happy, if they straightly inform me that my loan application is declined, instead of playing with my need. Am I correct or not?

Now what do you understand after reading my pathetic story, I understand that I tried to do business with a bank who doesn’t have proper work ethics. I’m not gonna do any kind of business with HDFC bank, ever in my life. I will suggest the same to my family and friends.
