Dear Sirs

With reference to my card number cited above, please note that I am not in a position to bear the exorbitant interest charges that have been charged to my card, on account of my inability to settle the dues on time.
My financial position, on account of my hospitalization the expenses incurred, also the death of my husband leaving back some financial commitments and 2 children who are still studying is such that I have not been able to pay the interest charges levied on the card. Nor do I see the situation improving.

As I am keen not to get into a deeper mess, I request for a One Time settlement of my dues to you. I earnestly appeal to you to be sympathetic and waive off the interest charges accumulated till date and permit me to settle the principle amount due as a one time settlement.

Sir, there is no one to help me out from the situation I am facing some thing which is unexpected. I pray that you keep this in mind and provide me with the best One Time Settlement offer.

I think I shall get justice

I would like to remind that I had send a letter in the month of June for one time settlement of the above card, due to my health problem.

HDFC Manager Mr Senthil from Nungambakkam ([protected]) had come home and discussed the matter and had explained to him the situation that I would be able to pay only Rs.25,000/- as settlement amount (in 2 monthly instalment) since I am not working any more.

Sir, I had undergone a surgery from then on I am having sever health problems. Photocopies of the medical report was given to Mr. Senthil, as he told me that he will settle the same on the medical basis for Rs.25,000/- . I insisted on the letter before I paid the second cheque and did not wish to pay (because I know my friends what problem there are facing without collecting the letter). He promised me that after the cheque is cleared he would give the same (i.e., before 27th of July). (More over I would like to let you know that when I was hospitalized your officer (Mr.Saravanan) at Nugambakkam office kept on calling for payment and harassed me my BP shot up the very day for which my Doctor is witness, in fact she told me lodge the complaint that day itself) I had explained this matter to Senthil, he promised me that no one will come or call me for payment. Waited till 30th and called him for which he said that it will take some more time since my case was medical settlement. I received the statement in the month of August’10. I called him he said not to worry and use the card for purchase. I mentioned that I do not have money for purchase. He again told me to give him some more time. I kept on calling and he was giving me the same answer.

Mean while I received a call from the bank for payment I called him he said he is busy and will call me later he did not call me at all. He stopped answering my call. I send SMS he did not reply. I went to Nugambakkam office and requested to see him he was not available.

Mr Saravanan came to see me and I explained in detail he said my request has not been processed at all. I was shocked and worried and said that I would like to complaint to somebody senior above Mr. Senthil. He said that only if Mr. Senthil process I would be able to talk to the senior person.

The same was conveyed to Mr. Senthi by Mr. Saravanan that, I was going to give a Police complaint (which I have not discussed with him at all). The next day Mr. Senthil calls up and tells me that he did not take the money and shouted at me I explained to him about what Mr. Saravanan told me, he said the customer dept. does not know anything about this and told that I want to put an end to this I will send the mail today itself.

That day in the evening I send a SMS him. There was no reply. Again I went to the bank this time met Mr.Vijay ([protected]) explained him all again he also told me that it has not been processed. He told me that he would talk to Mr. Senthil and as him to call me and told me to wait for a week. I did not get any call from Mr. Senthil, but got a call from Mr.Anand again I told him the story he said he will check and get back to me. I again went to the bank none of the three were available. I had taken my colleague along with me he call up Mr. Senthil from his mobile he answered the call and gave me, I spoke to him regarding the letter this is what he told me.

“Since I was going for a police complaint he will not do any thing and I was complaining about him to his colleague so I can’t do any thing. I told him If so he should has informed me this long back not after received my cheques. (he was shouting at me I was in the 4th of Nungambakkam office).

Sir, I don’t know a Manager of HDFC should behave in this manner. He should have given me a clear picture when I was calling me he did not do that, just because somebody said some thing he will not attend to my case. I do not think this is fare. I need justice. I am not working at all and my health is giving me a lot of problem for which I am advised another surgery for which I will be going and I need to get a letter before that since I don’t want other to suffer because of me.

Please let me know sir, what I am supposed to do.

Thanks for your Reply. Sorry to say this again i received a reply without addressing the following main issue.

01. I had given request letter for settlement and discussed the issue with your Nungambakkam Manager Mr. Senthil ([protected]).

02. Amount of Settlement was arrived and agreed by Mr. Senthil of HDFC on MEDICAL BASIS.

03. When I requested for a settlement letter, I was told, that I will get the same only after I had cleared agreed settlement amount, i.e. Rs.25000/- in 2 installments. (because of medical case)

04. After the cheque was cleared, even after regular follow-ups to collect the settlement letter, I did not receive the same.

05. After Mr. Senthil (including my current situation) the situation and the status was explained to the following responsible persons in HDFC .
01. Mr. Saravanan
02. Mr. Vijay,
03. Mr. Anand
04. Mr.Manoj Prem, Grievance Cell Officer, HDFC Bank Card Division, and
05. Now, I am explaining to you.

I was regularly paying till I had a fall back in my life, and could not pay any further for which I had asked for a settlement and all this nonsense happened. Now, I am not in a position to pay further, since my health does not permit me to go to job.

I therefore request you to kindly consider my case favourably and arrive at a closure at the earliest. Since I have an ailing mother at home, I would also request you to ensure that your agents do not visit my residence. Sir,
Myself shamnadfazil, account holder of hdfc bank Techno park branch Kazhakuttom, Trivandrum and my A/C. No. is [protected] and I have applied for a credit card (gold) at your bank
My first application verification was done and after that one of your banking officers says that the applications lost. After one month I have applied again for credit cards as per the banks instructions. Again all verifications and enquiries were finished and I have received a final call from the department saying that, this is the final call and the card will be get approved. After 3 days I called to customer care. For the status but the banking officer said that my application is rejected, but the banking officer can’t explain the reasons.
I have applied for a car loan and I have canceled my lone application because of this reason.
I am not interested to be an hdfc bank customer and I will close my account after I received the confirmation mail from the manager or from the head office.

I have read all thecomplaints i am surprised that why HDFC Bank has not received the award for the Best Cheaters award.They cheat in any way along with their bunch 0f Lawyers or Liers.Actually i had a dispute with the Bank regarding Credit card, I had stopped Banks payment because they did not listen to me regarding a complaint of their services due to which i had to suffer financial loss. They think their money is money & our earned money can be found on trees.Their Lawyer setteled credit card account with me for 4000/ & later i found that they had taken out Rs7500 more from my account without my knowldge.Even their staff dont listen to us their manager Ashu Garg posted at Bathinda Branch behaves like he is the owner of the Bank & never listens.He should be expelled by the Bank as he has given wrong statement in the court in order to save his job.I asked him that he has given false & misleading statement in the court he said every thing goes on & their os nothing wrong
I request all of you that we should try to put donation boxes in front of HDFC Banks so that every one an donate 1 or 2 rs to them as they are in need of money & they should not cheat their customers by taking money from thier account without telling them.I would like tp request RBI to put an hold & scan HDFC bank dealings. I would request to RBI to check statement given by ASHU Garg Branch head Bathinda to The Honable Court due to which a consumer had to suffer a aloss of Rs 50000/

mera naam arvind nath purohit hai or maine hdfc bank se silver credit card liya tha jis mai mujhe 15, 000=00 rs ki limit dee gayee thi jisko ki maine loan ke liye kaam mai liya or mujhe ye loan 24 month mai jama karna tha. meri 900 pm instalment huee jo ki mai lagatar jama karwa raha tha ho sakta hai ki 1ya 2 month mai jama nahi karwa paya is ke baad inhone kabhi 1800 rs to kabhi 2900 rs kabhi 3909 rs is tarah ki instalment ke letter bhejne start kar diye or ki bhi help line wale se baat karo to bolte hai ki late fee 500 rs hai cheq bounce hua hai uske 500 rs hai or ye rs ham aapke account mai se recover kar lete hai or cheq bounce bata kar per month 2600 se kam ki instalment ka letter nahi de rahe hai jab ham puchchte hai ki itni rs ki instalment kaise ho gayee to court ki dhamki dete hai mera bhai jisko poliyo hai usne bhi is se credit card se loan liya tha usne bhi ek baar 2000 or ek baar direct 6000 fir ek baar 750 rs ek baar 900 ka payment kiya hai uska abhi due balance 15000+1892 rs due bata rakha hai to aakhir ye itna rupee gaye kaha aisa konsa loan hota hai jis mai 15000 to balance hi rahe or baki sab rs interest mai cut kar liye jaye mai aapko ham dono bhaiyo ke credit card no. bhej raha hoo please aap is matter ko solve kare nahi to ham dono ko bahut loss ho raha hai. ab ye pata lag gaya hai ki is bank ka itna profit kaise bad raha hai.

due to some misguidance i am complaiting against mr, narinder kumar Sales manager. he closed my preferred account no. is 1431455 and then turn to hdfc change this no. then he come with me he said closed this account and open new account that time i believe this guy & my Bank but after three months we knew he mis guiding me. closed my preferred account and this account no is [protected] m/s R.V Enterprises Amritsar Branch Golden temple my bank expense is 10000 with in two months. my monthly turnover in ur bank is 60 Lacks now i am changing my bank and all my family members and frinds who know me all accounts are closed within 15 days.reason i tell u plz action this mail bcoz lots of cases same from mr. narinder.and then he tell me return ur expences now he not talk to me and not pick my phone

I opened an HDFC Bank account (salary a/c) in 2005 and along with the account, i was offered a Lifetime free credit card no [protected]. This card was never used by me in 3 years and upon expiry, it was re-issued to me and couriered at my old mailing address (by this time, i had moved house). The card went into wrong hands and was misued and suddenly in the month of July 2009, i started receiving calls from collections team to pay outstanding of Rs.16923. Since i never used the card, i immediately informed the customer care to cancel the card. I proactively called the bank and discussed my case. The collections deptt of HDFC Bank harrased me on phone and made my life difficult. Since they were forcing me to pay for transactions that I never made, I requested them to courier me the merchant copy of the credit card transaction slips. The bank failed to produce any and to my horror deducted around INR 20,000 from my bank account directly. This is a case of chaeating. Since then, I have contacted many senior people in HDFC Bank including the Branch Head of ITPL Branch but he kept avoiding response to my mails. My savings account has been debited of around Rs 20,000 without providing enough proof of transactions.

I am planning to launch consumer court case for claiming damages resulting from misdeeds of HDFC Bank. I request you to highlight the matter in media and make general public aware what HDFC Bank is doing. This is sheer exploitation and needs to be stopped.

I am willing to provide additional evidences against HDFC, if required.
