[Resolved] Hindustan Times Newspaper — Non delivery of subscription coupon booklet | |
I had taken Hindustan Times Subscription for two years in the month of June 2007. My subscription number is 204160 and the subscription amount of Rs 350/- has been paid vide HDFC cheque no. 0111254 on 21/05/07 They gave the coupons for 12 months and promised to send the balance coupons for the next year in the eleventh month. Repeated reminder e mails and phone calls have had no effect on them. Sometimes I am told that the coupons have been dispatched to me by courier 20 days ago or at other times I am told that my coupons have not been sent as my cheque was not encashed. The response from customer care was highly irresponsible and negligent. So I guess it is high time for the consumer court to intervene, stop Hindustan Times publication, sell all their property and equipment and return the money alongwith compensation to the grieved consumers. 1..I contacted Mr Govind about the yearly subscription on his mobile no [protected] few days back. He told me that he would collect the cheque of Rs 199/- from my residence. On his advice I prepared the cheque & kept at home so that whenever he visits he would collect the cheque. I also sent my addresss by SMS. When he did not come to collect the cheque, I again reminded him.
2. Today on 14 Dec at 07 48, I again tried to contact him on his mobile. After getting the ring, he realised that it was my phone, he immediately shut the mobile. Again, I rang him from the other mobile, after answering him, he realised that it was my phone. he immediately shut the phone.
3. After this incidence & seeing the number of complaints from the customers, Now I knew the reputation of Hindustan Times & why the circulation has suffered while others have taken over. In case you do not meet the consumer's requirement, atleast advise persons like Govind not to make fool of others. Or fire him from the job so that he does not allow your image to tarnish.

I have subscribed to 1 year subscription of Hindustan Times Newspaper on 18/12/2009 by paying Rs. 199 / - by Cheque. The cheque has been cleared on 16/12/2010 as per my bank statement.But even after such a long time, till now I have not received the Subscription Coupen booklet from Hindustan Times.
I have sent them e-mail, but no reply from them.
Kindly Guide me.

Hindustan Times — Regarding non delivery of newspaper
I have 2 years subscription of Hindustan Times daily news paper from october 2007 till october 2009.But my vendor stopped delivering paper stating that your scheme is over.I am clueless as the only evidence i have is the cheque number.Please help me.
