[Resolved] Honda City ZX GXi — Corrosion in the Bonnet | |||
I purchased my City in 2008 and usage is less as it has done only 10000 kms till date. to my surprise the bonnet paint has started bubbling and there are signs of spot rust and these are occuring in the slope area where water cannot stay under any circumstances. When honda was told they simply said its improper cleaning and bad quality of water. Anyways i belived that honda is known for its quality but after this my views has definitely changed and my next car is definitely is not going to be a Honda.....Thanks Honda Siel for this wonderful experience. I have faced the same problem in my Honda City 1.5 EXI purchased in November 2006. My Driver Door and all the metal surrounding the front and rear windshield is totally corroded. I am actually just waiting with a bucket while driving for the water to seep in and ruin my car and me in the very near future!
We are at the mercy of such companies like Honda Siel Cars India Ltd and likewise.
A company like Honda should be a lot more responsive to Consumers like us. We dint invest 8 - 10 Lac rupees for such a product!!!
I sent them an email with the pictures and they responded and asked their Dealer Arya Honda, Mumbai to take my car for observation.
Their Response Through their dealer i.e. Arya Honda:
"Sir, this is due to the ageing of your car. We cannot be in control of that.
Secondly the water you use to clean the car is improper!
Should i send you an estimate of the cost of repairs . . . . . . . "
I live in one of the best localities of Mumbai and water used by me is the same used by Ministers, Milllionaires and Huge Industrialists and this is what they reason with me!
We have at least 5 more Honda's in our company and immediate family and i am strongly advocating everyone to not purchase any new Honda or for that matter even a second hand Honda.
In the same place where my cars are parked and using the same water we wash my Hyudai i10 and other cars however they haven't corroded a single bit but i guess a Honda behaves differently!!!
FOR SURE NO MORE HONDA CARS FOR ME!!! AND IF ANYONE IS SENSITIVE ABOUT MONEY BEING WELL SPENT I RECOMMED PLEASE DONOT INVEST IN A HONDA CAR SINCE THEY ONLY CARE FOR FIRST TIME SALES AND NOT CONSUMER GRIEVANCES!
BEING ONE OF THE SO CALLED "BEST CAR COMPANIES IN THE WORLD" they should firstly address consumer grievances in a better manner and more importantly use better quality inputs for such premium cars.
