[Resolved]  Honda Eterno — NO AVAILABILITY OF SPARE PARTS

Address:Chennai, Tamil Nadu

SIR,
my father bought honda eterno in 2004 from loyal honda chennai. It had been working well till june 2010 . But then in june the engine suddenly stopped. The loyal honda services said that the stator plates are not working and they ordered it. I enquired about it but now they say the stator plates are no longer available. I bought spare part from delhi but they said it was fake . Now in november the loyal honda service told me that the scooter is now a scrap piece as no other action can be done . Please tell me what are the solutions for the problem ??

I bought a black colour HONDA ETERNO scooter from M/s. Keerthi Honda in Hosur Tamil Nadu in 2005. It is a very good vehicle. In Dec 2010, a rash driving bike hit my vehicle when I was driving home after Office hours. The sturdy front body of Eterno saved my life. But the scooter was very badly damaged on one side.I faced injuries in my hand fingers & right leg. 13 different external spares were required to repair it. When I had approached the dealer from where I took the delivery, he told that this model is discontinued now and we can not mobilise the spares. After a long change with dealers in Bangalore & other parts of Tamil Nadu, I could get 10 different spares. But below mentioned three spares are still not available. In the absence of the spares, I could not repair the scooter.
(1) 64310-KRB-900 1 no.
(2) 19610-KRB-900 1 no.
(3) 04834-KRB-900 1 no. (Black Colour)
The poor support from the local dealer shows the inefficiency of HONDA management & its dealers by stocking enough spares for the vehicle sold by them. It will be helpful for me if anybody help me to arrange the above mentioned three spares & to repair the damaged scooter which is idle for the past 14 months ... MOORTHI, Mob : +[protected]
When a product is launched by HONDA, it must ensure that enough spares are available for a model which is bought by a customer. If the manufacturer or the dealer is not able to mobillise spares when it is required by a customer, they should not launch the vehicle in the market. They should not disappoint a customer like this. If they are not able to serve a customer, then they should not step into this market.
i bought an honda eterno scooter in 2008. but till now there is no availability of CDI unit kit in any honda agency. i am unable to think that what should i do? my scooter is situated at standing condition. please reply me.

We are telling that Honda Service is Poor and Bad.. After Sales ... Please Reply me sir...
I have bought honda eterno scooter in 1996 and there is leakage of oil from rear wheel. Honda showroom said that oil seal was damaged and it is not available at any outlet of honda.I myself have tried at many autopart showroom.Any body suggest me any solution. I also request honda company that this is India and we cannot afford to scrap down vehicles so early. This will also damage your image and nobody will like to purchase honda twowheeler. Kindly make available spare parts as early as possible.
Hi dear Eterno riders, I too own a Honda Eterno since 2004..and I still love riding it. But as you said, there no spare-parts available in the market. And last year I ended-up paying more for a used CDI-unit (than what a genuine new CDI unit have had costed me).
If they can launch a scooter i a market and sell a huge number of them why can't they keep supplying the spare parts to support them.
I seriously think we should raise a complaint in the CONSUMER FORUM against Honda Scooters .(I am sure writing the complaints on this website alone will not solve any purpose)
And if the consumer forum can punish the shopkeepers (restaurants) for charging even Re.1 (extra from the Bill ) from their customers why can't they take action against HOnda Scooters for selling a product for more than Rs36000 and then refusing to support it.
