[Resolved]  Honda Unicorn Dazzler — Sub standard vehicle Viz. Poor shock absorbers, Poor rear brakes, Poor mileage

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

I owned a CB Unicorn and bought dazzler as an upgrade 2 years back. In between CB Unicorn and dazzler, I owned a Yamaha-FZ for about an year or so. Went to dazzler as a loyal customer of Honda, thinking that dazzler would surely be an upgrade to CB Unicorn. But trust me guys, it was a big time marketing gimmick to use the reputation of the awesome CB Unicorn to sell off the Dazzlers. Though the engine specs & many other bla bla's might be the same, however it is no way related to CB Unicorn when it comes to comparison of standards. I had to change the battery in just 6-7 months. Was really a tough time to claim the warranty. Had to push-start my bike in terrible Bangalore at cases when it got switched off. Lost my faith on the service of Honda service stations during the service which I had given during that time. I am giving it to a known mechanic of mine, who used to service my FZ as well. He is basically good at getting the bike to the proper tune. The following are the terrible problems I am facing:
1. Terribly stiff shock absorbers. I have got severe back pain since I have started riding the dazzler. No matter what ever adjustments my mechanic does to the shock abosrbers. It causes severe back pain.
2. The rear brake pads were changed around 13k-14k Kms. Now my bike is nearing 17K Kms, but the new brake pads are terribly hard. Though its not worn out, but still it makes squeaky sounds. Also the brake pad is hard since it was installed.
3. I buy all parts from Honda, unless its not available for dazzlers. Procurement of spare parts for dazzlers is a big problem here in Bangalore.
4. Mileage is mostly less than 40Kms/ litre. Rarely crosses 40Km marginally.
