[Resolved]  HP DV 2519 — Hp did not service my warrantied laptop

Hi,
I bought this laptop
(dv 2519) with very high expectations in august 2007. I had a sony with a little less config with the same dealer but I wanted to try HP. I am a globe traveller. I left for germany in september 2007. I found that the laptop battery was draining unexpectedly and the laptop was getting terribly heated up just after 2 months of purchase. I called up the retailer and he asked me to call the hp. So, I did. Hp guys asked me to bring when I return. I took the laptop to them and also told them that I am returning in 2 weeks time in late july 2008. They checked the laptop and said the battery is a problem and they will replace it. I asked them to check about the heating problem they did and said they will get the heat sync replaced. They asked me to bring the laptop when they call. They never called. I kept calling all their people from Mr. Karthik, Jayanth, Naresh, Prasad, Sharath and local hp service center and also the retailer. But there was no response from anyone. All they will do is give another number ans ask me to call up. I told them I had to leave for US on 19th August and the warranty expires on 14th August. But they didnt care. On the last day the hp service center guy calls and says that too many things cannot be covered under the warranty. I still dont get what you mean by too many things? the heat sync and battery? Why do you give a warranty on the laptop then? He tells me that my warranty is expired and he cant do anything. I am completely feeling cheated with this kinda service. I am a management graduate in US. I have never seen such a dirty service staff and sick characters in my whole life. One guy even told me that I forgot to thank him for that he answered my call. Fantastic!! I buy your laptop and I face all this abuse and trouble. I have returned from US and want to know why this has happened and what action you are going to take about these useless service staff. That laptop is a lemon, I cannot work even for 30mins, it switches itself off. HP !! You have cheated me!! One thing is for sure, I will never buy another HP product again. I have seen my classmates in US using HP, they also find hp products failing off in less than a year.
Its been such an annoying experience with so much money lost for a lemon.
