[Resolved]  Hp Laptop — No proper service is being given by HP Service Center and charging Rs 850 for the Service Charges.

Hi,

On 18-Mar-09, I had been to HP's service center "ELITE BUSINESS MACHINE (P) LTD to get my laptop repaired. They booked my service call with Token Number - A - 223 ( A- 409 written above that also) and case ID Number - [protected]. They told that I will be getting resolution within 2-3 days.

On 28-Mar-09, I again visited their Service Center to check the status as they did not give any further communication to me and I also was not able to connect to their contact numbers. They told me that they have still not received any quotation from HP. When I asked about the final duration for the repair then they said "Sir company ne naya model nikala he to part abhi market main nahi aya he. abhi tak to quotation hi nahi ayi he. pata nahi part kab tak ayega. hum time nahi bata sakte." I told that this is hampering my work and I really need it at the earliest. They said that they can not help me in this and no expected date can be given. They asked me to call at HP Customer Care at 30306363. I called twice at that number and had a long talk with the executive probably named Reshma. Then I had a talk with her senior and he told that the the Service Centre has not sent any request for Quotation properly and not mentioned the parts. He also had a talk with the manager Nitin and asked him to send a RFQ again and assured me that he will send the quotation the same day. He asked him (Nitin) to deal with the case on urgent basis.


On 31-Apr-09, I got an email from HP about the quote Rs 5894 and I approved the same.

On 1-Apr-09, He (Nitin) called me and told that he has got Quotation of Rs 8500 for the two parts and if any other damage is found then that will be charged extra. But as per your(HP's) quotation, I told him(Nitin) that I have received an email from HP which was of Rs 5984 only. He called me again and told that he got confused so the final quote is of Rs. 6000 only but the service charges would be Rs 850 extra.
I got confused by his substandard pricing statements and visited his service center today. Even my laptop is under warranty, he was asking me for service charges. Service Engineer has broken one of the body part of my laptop also. And the statement is " Sir ye to kholte time tut gaya hoga". One of the Speaker net (which is the body part of laptop) is also bent which is also showing improper handling of the engineer.

When I took my laptop to check its keyboard was not working. I asked Service engineer to check it and assembling its multimedia touch pad was not working. I asked why it is happening again and again and you know what the statement was " Sir ye to jaldi jaldi main ho gaya he." is it mean that they people are so loaded with work that they do not care for the customer's belonging.

Probably they deal with n number of laptops daily but for me it is the only one which I bough before one and half month on 12-Feb-09.

I am really very dissatisfied and annoyed with these people and want to take action against them. I have collected my laptop back and expecting a proper help from you.
