[Resolved]  HSBC Credit Cards — outstanding charges against a not used credit card

I am working in B.S.N.L, pune. In the month of Jan-Feb-08, one o[censored]r representative came to our office, for offering credit card accounts, saying that there will be absolutely nothing charges for the credit card accounts. So account[protected] with card no.[protected] with credit limit of Rs.50K and cash limit Rs.20K was created on my name.since the day I opened the credit card accounts, I never operated the account by any means, even I didn’t broke the seal of the cards. In the month of april-may -08 I got started the transaction bills of outstanding anount of Rs.450/- for which nothing of the services were availed by myself. In the month of May-08, I decided to terminate whatever cards I had received from HSBC, w/o any single use and the seals not broken.
I went to ur branch in Pune Camp and surrenederd my cards to them and requseted not to make any further corressponsdence in future for the same.
Still after the month july-08, I started getting the bills in excess of Rs.3, 500/- saying that these are the outstanding bills and I should pay them at earliest. w/o doing a single transcations thro’ CREDIT cards, why should I pay so much of amount?. In the statring nothing was comminicated to me about any hidden maintainence +insurance charges. I complained about the same in Pune Camp Branch, there was no singinificant response from pune branch, the staff told me that there is no office in pune regarding the credit card transactions and I’ve to commuincate regarding the credit card services thro’ phone banking services only.
I called on the phone banking numbers in the last middle of sept-08 and also on 06th, 15th and 18 th oct -08. I never got any significant reply from those numbers every time I was asked about scrutiny of myself, and I was told that my case is transferred to some senior officials and I may get the outstanding charges revetted back, and either the concerned pesron is on leave or he is not available at the moment, none of the perosns was able to tell me the time when in will get any proper reply or about revesrion of the charges for which the none of the services wre availed by myself. Not a single time I got any reference number for the calls(USELESS CALLS) I made.
Later I contacted at [protected]@hsbc.co.in on 20 October 2008, and I got the reply from Mr. Sourav Bhattacharjee, Customer Service Executive, HSBC India with ref.no. number:[protected], still from the contact number they had given it was like the phone banking number only, many of the times the number was not picked up properly or again it was told to contact on the same number with the name of the department changed by the call center persons. It was a very confusing reply and I was not able to find any conclusion over that. I didn’t apply for any policy anytime so how was I charged for the policy that I’ve never registered or applied. Similarly the terms like free look up period were not clear in the mail. recently I got the outstanding bill of amount of Rs.5000/- in the last week.(in nov-08)
I have already posted the letter to The Manager, Customer Connect, HSBC on 10th nov-08 thro’ speedpost, as per the grievance redressal mentioned on Internet. I received letter from senior.officer, Leena khatri assuring that I will get response till 30th nov-08. (REF.NO.[protected]still no action was taken over the issue, again I coressponded to Mrs. Sathya Srinivasan by mail, I got the acknowlegement from her thro’post on 01-dec-08, still no reply was there from her side.
Now the amount from Rs.5000/- has raised to Rs.6300/-, I m not understanding that amount outstanding in june-08 of Rs.785/- has climbed to rs.6302/- within a time span of 6months w/o any kind o[censored]se ?
Copies of the false sympathy letter from HSBC and the outstanding amount statements is attached herewith.
It is a total issue of mental harassment I am facing since the may-08 and I m getting treated as a defaulter as I have already availed the services and not paying the outstanding balance.

Sathya Srinivasan and Sowmya are dumb in nodal office. They have not done anything in my 2 years of struggle with HSBC being NRI.

HSBC SUCKS BIG TIME... DON;T BANK WITH THEM, IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY
HSBC claims to be a global bank but thier card operations in India are managed worst than fish market in India. They harass customers both mentally as well as finacially. I am suffered a loss of Rs 10, 000/.
They do not have any values or ethics in running business. Customer care executives / supervisors are adamant with rude behavior. They make false promises there by customers are suffering huge losses.
Mrs. Sathya Srinivasan, Sr VP Customer Service is inept.
I am holding Credit Card, I had made the payment, after that also they are charging me late fees Interest etc. I had informed the helpline they agree to reverse the charges and however I said to them I dont want to continue with HSBC Card she said that, no then we will not reverse the charges, Moral of the story either always speak false, or Bank reserve all the rights . Customer even dont have the rights once he taken a card he can not surrender the card.

I challenge Mrs. Sathya Srinivasan, you depute any particular officer and bring the recording of our last conversation, then take the decision ...
