[Resolved] Idea Netsetter — Billed on a cancelled connection | |||
My name is Ranjith Nair and I am an Idea Netsetter post-paid subscriber holding the number [protected]. Idea net setter is the worst net connection i have ever used. Idea customer care is blessed with even worse people who have absolutely no courtesy / decency / manners all put together. All this makes me feel whether having an Idea Netsetter or any connection is such a good idea after all.Idea connection brought humiliating and harassing treatment to me and my wife who have been running pillar to post to rectify a billing discrepancy, which is a fault at your end and wouldn’t have happened if you had well trained staff working for you. My intial plan was an INR 299/- plan which I got changed to an Unlimited plan on 12th May 2010 by paying a visit to your outlet in Kozhenchery (Pathanamthitta-dist, Kerala). At that point of time, the person attending to me told me that the change was in effect immediately. 24 hours later i.e. on 13th May, my net connection got disabled. Idea call centre was unaware of why this happened and assured me that they would get back by the same evening. This continued for the next 2 days and as on date many an evening has passed and I still haven’t received a call from them. Thankfully, I didn’t wait for this long and upon visiting the same branch and meeting the same person who changed over my connection, on 15th (or 16th) May, I was once again asked to wait for a few days to wait for a call. Obviously the call never came and it was only after my repeated calls, I was very curtly and rudely told that I am SUPPOSED to know that any change takes 24 hours to be effected. This is out rightly ridiculous. Can anyone tell me, how is it possible for me to know that a change takes 24 hours to be effected. What is the person behind the desk doing? Is it not his responsibility to inform a customer about the time required for a change to be effected? am I supposed to dream this whole scenario? After I confronted this person, he promised to waive off the charges on the netsetter incurred as a result of the mistakes and blunders of the inefficient team handling the change over. This joy was also shortlived as my net connection would routinely get disconnected every other day. A call to the call centre would restore it. Finally the same gentleman refused to waive of the bill and told me to pay it off else the connection would not be restored. I have even cleared bills during this time based on the assurance that the same would be waived off and now I am told that the bill would not be waived off. I was absolutely fed up of this nonsense and decided to cancel my connection.On 29th sept 2010 I setteled all the amount due and cancelled my bill. I thought finally I have got myself rid of idea, but I was wrong. Even after cancelling the connection I am still receiving bills from idea on my cancelled connection. Yes Idea has changed my life forever and I will never in my life take a connection of idea and make sure that anybody I know will never make this mistake of taking an idea connection.
