[Resolved] IFB Washing Machine — Disgusting customer service and inexplicable product quality in spite of exorbitant charges | |||
Dear Sir, I have an IFB Top Load Washing machine which is under 4 years extended warranty. I purchased the same in 2008 and within 2.5 years, I have had to raise complaints for servicing numerous times. The machine though of quite high price is of very poor quality and the after sales customer service is equally bad. On 23rd March, 2011 my machine stopped working completely. I logged a complaint with IFB Customer Care[protected]. The complaint number provided was 6095101. Technician from IFB visited my house on 24th March,2011 and confirmed that some parts need to be replaced and the same would take 1 week. When I did not hear anything till 1st April,2011, I decided to call up IFB Customer Care to follow up. Accordingly, I was told to call up on the numbers([protected](Mr. Bappa)/[protected] - nildeep/[protected]). When I called on these numbers, they were either switched off or I was told that the spare parts had not been delivered to them yet(from Taratala in Kolkata itself). I called back on 4th April,2011 and was again given the same response. 2 weeks had passed in the meantime. When I threatened them with consequences, the person from IFB simply said "Do whatever you want to". Such is the arrogance of their staff. IFB provides a complaint logging facility on their website which does not work. Being a software engineer I do know that the website has been configured to throw an error whenever a user submits a complaint. I then mailed to [protected]@ifbglobal.com which was undelivered. However, next day technician again visited my house to repair but realised he did not have the correct spare parts and has again asked for 4-5 days to get the same. IFB does not care about customers. They are duping people of their money by providing worthless appliances, customer care executives who do not have basic etiquettes/manners and false promises. Requesting you to please take this matter up in the best interests of the consumers who are being duped with catchy advertisements and "excellent" customer care offers. My cmplain was regesterd on 23rd march 2009, till todays date my complain have not been attended.
I have called many a times after regester my complain, but i have not got proper response. Problem is not solved and none of your person have contacted us regarding our issues.
Now i have decided that i will take legal action regarding this matter and i want complanciate of mental and time period harresment.
Please look in this matter and take fast legal action.

IFB WASHING MACHINE — Disgusting Customer Care
I have IFB Washing Machine (Model Elena). I have registered complaint with the local Service Centre atJammu (J&K). The job has been registered by the Centre at S.No.26. For last 3 months I have been requesting them repeatedly but they are totally deaf. Only once they said a person who said he will turn up again within 2 days. Month has again elapsed but they are not doing anything.
I should not have purchased an IFB product. I will never recommend the product to any prospective customer in future.
