Indane Gas — Problems with the dealer

I am a subscriber of Indane gas through Roorkee Gas Agency. I have several grievances against this dealer as follows:

1. Although it is said in the website of IOCL that purchasing oven is not compulsory when taking a new connection, I was forced to buy one from the dealer. Else they refused to give me the new connection. I had two ovens earlier and now being forced to buy a third one. Moreover, the oven that was sold to me is defective having gas leakage problem. I complained to the dealer about it but they have not sent anyone for servicing yet although the problem is a serious one which may even amount to a large scale accident.

2. The main problem is with the time they are taking in delivering refill cylinder. I booked for a refill two weeks back but have not received it yet. During the booking they said that it will be given in one week time but it is now 1 + 1 = 2 weeks. The problem is that they don’t give any tentative date of delivery in writing. What I have heard is that they sell these domestic gas cylinders to local restaurants and dhabas at a higher price thereby delaying supply to our homes. With only single cylinder connection and without any cooking for last two weeks, my life with family and children is certainly becoming very difficult.

3. In the face of such problem, I wanted to apply for double cylinder connection but the dealer bluntly refused saying there are too many people in the waiting list. I don’t understand why and how can they refuse to take my application. I can also be in the waiting list as well.

4. Finally, I would like to say a few words about the attitude of the people working in the dealer’s office. These people are very rude and don’t have the minimum manner to talk to the customers properly. They also don’t have the minimum courtesy to pick up the phone. So all the time I have to walk down to their office for any sort of enquiry although I don’t like to talk to these rude people face to face.

Iam consumer of indiangas ltd. but your delar sharda gas which is location in bilaspur (c.g)495001 is not delivery timely he has taken more than two week but the rule is whithen 7 day's cylender is deliveed this problem is not for only one month but all the month this problem is same delar can sale gas cylender in black @500 each cylender . in this week he can 10 load of cylender but he can't deliver timely any consumber
