Please tell me why I should not consider your offer an outright scam.
I posted a complaint two weeks ago on this site and I have not received a response from you.
Here are the details.
Part of ITBC promotion was a 2 night 3 day holiday offer.
To avail of this, we had to send a number of documents including a bank draft of Rs. 800 only from Indian Bank.
We sent all this on the 29th of November and asked for our holiday beginning 13th January. We gave three options of hotel venue.
We were supposed to get confirmation by email within 15 days. It did not come.
I waited one more week before teleponing IndiaHotelReview.com
Their phones are absolutely useless. Nobody answers. Even if they do, they put you on to a whole lot of people and then tell you to call on another Monday or Tuesday.
On complaining via email, I got a terse message saying that they had not received my documents.
When I gave them the DD number and other details, they asked me where I had sent the documents.
I told them that I had sent them to the address mentioned on the original form.
I was then informed by email that the address had now changed.
they asked me to send the DD again.
About a week ago, I got a phone call from one Poonam Devi of IndiaHotelReview. She said that if I withdrew the complaint and sent her the demand draft again, they would send me a confirmation voucher. I said that I would not send the DD if I did not get the old one back. She assured me that the old was being couriered back.
To date I have not received my DD for Rs. 800.
In subsequent emails, I have been told that unless I withdraw my complaint I will not get my confirmation voucher.
This is preposterous. Besides looking like a scam, this is blackmail.
I had booked this holiday as my wife's birthday present. Now the day has passed.
I have the details of the DD and all other documents with me.
You have caused me a great deal of discomfort and anger.
Please get back to me with a solution or I will have to take other action.
