[Resolved]  Indian Airlines — Damaged Baggage Report (DBR) no claims settled

I had travelled back from Bangkok to Mumbai on 4th Dec 2007 by IC694 along with my wife. On back home at Mumbai airport we found 2 of our bags to be broken and certain items to be missing. (You can view the details in the Damaged Baggage Report available with us. approx damage INR 8500)

The compensation offered by on-duty AI Personnel at the Airport was INR 3,000/- which was not acceptable to us. The personnel in turn requested us to submit a DBR which would be forwarded to (Customer Services Cell) department.

Now it has been over 2 months since we have returned back to Mumbai. But, so far we have not heard anything from airlines department. The only polite and courteous answer that we get is “We are looking into the matter Sir. We apologize for the inconvenience caused”

Ahh... the endless waiting.

India Airlines is know for its poor service. Dude you should have accepted the compensation instead of this endless wait! Something is better than nothing.

I know many people who have been asked to contact between airlines department and going nowhere. They usually spend more than the compensation amount only in follow-ups.

This happens onlyu in I***a :-)
why don't Some take on these official and give them left and right and corner.

India Airlines is worst night mare to passengers journey.

Best thing is to complaint at site dirctly to PM.
Only with the hope that it could improve service.
