Indian Railway — 50% refund for more than 5 hrs delayed train | |||
I had a really bad experience with the services I recently received from Indian Railways and thats why I am here. We booked PNR [protected] to travel from Agartala to Kumarghat in 2A AGTL LMG EXPRES on 14th Aug 2013. *My flight landed in agartala arond 12 noon morning wheras the train was scheduled for departure around 4 pm so we requested to the station master if we can get the rest room to which a 2A passenger is eligible for. He said it is alloted only before an hour or two not for so long (4 hrs in our case). We agreed and waited for 2 hours and again went to the station controller room 2 times between 2 pm to 4 pm but he was not there so we had no choice other than waiting in normal waiting room. *To our surprise we came to know that our train has been delayed for more than 6 hours and it will only come after 12 midnight so we immediately boarded the AC chair car train around 5 pm and filed TDR for PNR [protected] to get our refund of money stating the reason "train delayed for more than 3 hrs" *Now after a week I checked the status of my TDR and noticed I got refund less than 50% of total amount! What was the reason I dont know. I am very upset due to the level of service we were provided at agartala Station, Train schedule, TDR refund and I hope my complaint will be addressed and I will be compensated for the inconvenience caused to us.
