[Resolved]  Indian Railway — COMPLAINT AGAINST CORRUPT TTE AND HIS VERY INDESCENT BEHAVIOUR IN GODAN EXPRESS FROM CHAPPRA TO MUMBAI ON 13.12.2008

Dear Sir,

This is to bring in your kind notice the brutal treatment meted out to me by the TTE of Godan Express. I am describing my nightmarish journey experience on 13.12.2008 hoping you will take stern action against the concerned TTE.

On 13th Dec 2008, I boarded on Train No 1060 (Godan Exp) from Azamgarh on Berth No S12-64 (PNR No-[protected]). My brother also accompanied me with waitlist ticket W43 (PNR No-[protected]) which moved to RAC RS11-39.at the time of preparation of chart. Before Janghai Station my brother approached TTE to confirm if any vacant berth can be allotted to him. My dear TTE very rudely replied “Just go and sit on your seat, no berth is available”. Seeing his indecent behavior my brother was shocked. TTE could have told same thing in a better way if not in a respectable manner. Any how my brother still maintained his patience, and requested him if he will not mind telling his name please (Plz note TTE was not wearing his Badge). This I presume irritated TTE and he said “My name is R.S Yadav, now go away and do whatever you can”. My brother returned to me and just told me that the berth is not available. Just at the same time passenger standing in front of my berth having RLWL 115, 116 tickets said that he is shifting to S7-34, 36 as he had got confirmed berth. I was surprised how WL 115, 116 can be confirmed and no berth is available for WL 43. Then that individual disclosed that he has paid approx Rs 800 to get those 2 berths. This time I approached TT with request to confirm my brothers berth (if available). Once again TTE very rudely said “Abhi tumhara bhai aaya tha aur ab tum, bola na seat nahi hai, chup chap ja kar apni seat par baith jao, usko toh apna naam bhi bata diya hai jaao jo karma hai kar lo”. I was surprised at the indecent approach of TTE. Even if berth was not available, he could have told me in a better manner. I simply asked him Sir how come WL 115, 116 & 139 (this waitlist ticket was also confirmed) be confirmed and no berth is available for WL 43. I am quoting his abusive way of talking (“Sale Tu kaun hota hai mujhse poochane wala ki maine kaise berth allot kiya, ja ke chup chap apni seat pe baith ja”). I still persisted and objected his derogatory behavior .This infuriated him and the way he reacted I am even ashamed to quote his indecent language which he as Railway officer should not use----(“bhonsdiwale ek bar kahani chup chap chal ja, nahi te mar deb”) and he just folded his fist in front of my face. I was also running out of patience and said “badatmiji se baat nahi”. Now again I am quoting the exact unquotable words used by him “Madarchod ab-be houk deb (and he brought his fist just in front of my face, as if he is going to give me a punch), lala bhai (Since I am Kayasth) chupchap chal ja nahi te trainwa se dhakel deb”. One more person accompanying him in formal uniform who was helping TTE in extorting money pushed me aside, and they both went forward toward S-12. This whole humiliating incidence was witnessed by the entire individual occupying berth No 1-24 in S-11. This is first time in my life I faced such a humiliating incidence. I was so upset by his behavior that even the memory of the incidence creates shivering sensation in my body.

In view of the above I request you to take stringent of the action possible within legal purview, so that it should be a lesson for this corrupt and indecent TTE and also example for all the other corrupt employees of the department who behave similar to him. Before deciding any punishment following points should also be noted

1. TTE allotted berth to other waitlist passenger bypassing me after taking bribe
from the passenger.
1. TTE was not wearing badge.
2. He abused me in full public, which is one of the most humiliating moments in my life.
3. He even threatened me to push outside running train.
4. Person accompanying TTE helping him to extort money was in casual dress.
5. They even extorted money from the waitlist passengers, just for permitting them to sit in reserved Boogie.

I hope railway authority will take appropriate action as per its reputation and set new example for its drive against corruption. One more thing I would like to suggest through this complaint that some method should be evolved so that RAC passengers after preparation of chart be confirmed in the order of priority. It should not be at the sweet wish of your corrupt TTE’s (hope you are also aware of it).

we are the employee of S E C Rly(Nagpur division).Mr D .PAL, Assistant commercial Manager S E C Rly Nagpur demanding bribe from his staff over NGP division.He thereatens the staff that if they will not fulfill his demand, they should be prepare for dare consequency.He is issuing large number of large number of minor penalty chargesheet to his staff for triffle in all over Nagpur division.After taking bribe he gives minimum punishment if his demand is not fullfilled then the quantum of punishment is very high
Please take legal action against him because he is making working atmosphere very corrupt.he is a most currupt officer and also misbehaving attitude.protect us.Sorry we are unable to disclose our identity

Today, i.e. 22/3/2009 I went at railways station Sangrur (Punjab) to left my mother at about 5:10 am, who was going to Jakhal, I wanted a ticked from the attendant who was issuing tickets, I do no know his name, I demanded one ticked from him, then he demanded denomination of 10 rupees, when I tried to best in my pocket, but I could unable to give denomination, then I gave him 50 rupees but he refused to issue a ticked with the condition of denomination of ten rupees. I very requested to him that I have no chain, please give me a ticked, even you can receive 50 rupees from me, I will take return the balance amount after that, because I am not going on the train himself. But he refused to issue ticket and started talking with unparliamentarily language with me. After that I arranged the denomination with the help of other passenger and could able to get on my mother if I just half minute more late then train could be departed. When I approached station master to complaint and demanded complaint book he also started misbehaved with me and refused to take my complaint, if I spent some time more, there may be possible that my physical harassment was also done there. So I want to take some answer as following:-
1. Whether the employee has a right to abuse any person/ passenger.
2. Whether the any passenger be ignored to issue tickets if he/she has no chain of rupees.
3. Whether the station master has refused to give complaint book, who wants to complaint of any official although complaint may be wrong or right.
4. Whether the passenger has a right to file any complaint.
5. If the station master is ignored to complainant what further procedure at the same railway station.
6. Whether the any punishment is available if any employee is found for misbehave with the passenger or a complaint just treat to eye wash of complainant.
It’s therefore prayed the inquiry may kindly be conducted and above said persons may kindly be punished with the hope that no other person will be humiliated as I have faced.

Respected Sir,

I am Software Engineer working in IT industry. It's complain against Superintendent of Parcel(PS) Mr.D. P. Agarwal, Dadar Division, Mumbai.

On 6th Apr'09 around 10.15 AM, I wanted to send my bike to Pune thru parcel from Dadar. I filled the form and even made ready the bike with Gunni packing. I approached the PS and told him that I wanted to send my bike Pune by parcel. In reply, he told me that the bike might go to Pune or Bangalore, and it is not his responsibility. When I told that when I was booking for Pune, then how it would n't reach Pune. Then he replied that I didn't know and it was your responsibility to see that it goes to PUNE. It's very irresponsible statement.

After that, we had heated arguments. I told that I would n’t send my bike by parcel, rather I would lodge the complain against you and those who are standing by you.

This kind of statement have very bad impression of Indian Railways. I found him dishonest, irresponsible and non dedicated employee. He came at 10.00 o'clock where office timing was from 9.00 to 20.00 hrs.

I request to take proper action on such irresponsible PS who is not only making the trouble to passengers but also damaging the impression of Indian Railways.

I am a regular traveller in mumbai local from ghansoli to Mulund in Frst class compartment i have been annoyed by some unwanted things which are being happening to me from past 3 mnths i have been puchasing my pass on mnthly basis, and there is no harm in it i belive, The guy(Mr ashok chavan) who sits at ticket vending window uses abusing wrds and has rude behaviour like anything people several people has experinced it as of me too he even hasnt spared ladies while purchasing tickets or pass

I would kindly like to request you to pls take some action against that guy

There is a big corruption in New Delhi railway station in front of everybodies eyes. I was traveliing to Bihar, I always saw somebody take money to enter the generalbogies. They make seprate line to enter in bogies that they take money for sit. And in train TTE is not good cheractor. They always do wrong . So Kindly teach a lession against these type person.

Indian Railways — Abusive behavior of TT of Indian Railways

The TT Mr. Ritesh Date on the Gitanjali Express from Howrah to Mumbai on 14th aug was highly abusive and misbehaved with me, I did not expect such arrogant kind of behavior out of an Indian Railways employee who are know to serve people with politeness and with a sense of helping their journey be safe and comfortable. Mr. Date was not ready to listen to what i had to say instead was highly abusive.
