[Resolved]  Indian Railways — Refusal by Gangtok Railway reservation counter to book reservation for connecting journey from New Jalpaiguri to Jabalpur via Allahabad

I approached Gangtok Railway reservation counter on 01 Seo 12 for a reservation on 12505 NE Express on 06 Sep 12 from NJP to Allahabad and onward reservation from Allahabad to Jabalpur on 07 Sep 12. However the person on duty refused to do the reservation stating that the reservation for onward journey is not permissible.I would like to know under what rule is this refusal valid
