I purchased a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 mobile phone from India times shopping(www.shopping.indiatimes.com) worth Rs 23174 /- with one year warranty on march 23rd,2010.
The display of the mobile is not working now and also it is not reading memory card since day 1.The phone is not working. All this should be covered in warranty.
I have sent the handset back to India times twice with a complaint for repairing. But both the times they sent me the phone back saying they cannot take care of the problems and I should get it repaired from outside.
Moreover , when i got the phone checked from Sony Ericsson service center (Noida) , they told me that this phone does not belong to India and IMEI number is not from India and not registered with them.Even the manuals are not in English.I fear its a smuggled phone which they sold me.
Please help me with this matter.India times is not showing any co-operation and have said they cannot do anything.
Seeking for a positive action
