Hello,

My following claims have been rejected by IRCTC whereas I have not travelled on account of the said TDRs. I am annoyed and disgusted by the deep rooted corruption that lies within Indian railways and wish to legally challenge the rejection of my TDR requested. Therefore, I wish to conduct a judicial enquiry after which the refund of the TDR amounts as well as compensation for the harassment as deemed suitable by the honorable count.

IRCTC Ltd. — Regarding cheque book

I requested for a cheque book nearly 2 months ago. Each time I call up and enquire about it, they keep saying I will get it within the next 7 days. I applied in the first week of december once and again, i came to dalhouise branch, kolkata filled the form there in January and again they told me that you will receive cheque book within 7 days and i till date waiting for it to come and have not yet received it.

IRCTC Ltd. — Fraud

I recently made an account in irctc.co.in hoping that I'll be able to book tickets without any trouble. Unfortunately, I undermined Indian system's traditional inclination towards flaws by having higher expectations. I tried booking tickets for journey from muzaffarpur to kolkata. First time they didn't debited money but the second time Rs. 1236/- was debited from my account even though the ticket wasn't booked. This shows that their transaction management lacks atomicity. Looks like they have hired true Indian Database Administrators, as well as Web Developers, who don't even know the meaning of ATOMICITY of a transaction, which is one of the prime reasons why Database Management System is taught.

    today i was booking a ticket from kanpur to new delhi in gomti express[protected]. during transaction after sometime msg came "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... and money was deducted from my account but no details of ticket is available... so please look into the matter and refund the amount again as i have already purchased ticket from counter. so kindly refund the amount.

    I booked two tickets online today (19.04.2015) in Kochuveli Express (16315) for travelling Krishnarajapuram (Bangaloor) to Cherthala on[protected] for my parents, both are senior citizen aged 66 and 62. As they cannot use upper berths (SU and UB) and almost 297 SL seats are available, we selected lower seats, while booking. However, after booking we got one upper berth and side upper (S9-62 & S9-64).

          IRCTC is allowing Maestro debit card of SBI while doing train reservation. But while doing Flight reservation through IRCTC, Ms Laxmi is saying that

          "maestro card is not authorised from bank end right now.Kindly book your
          ticket through Net banking."


          i suppose the statement is not true. IRCTC being the same host for both air and flight ticketing, can not deny maestro debit card of SBI in Flight ticketing.

              As i cancelled my e-ticket PNR no [protected] on 31 July at 11:15 PM .But as i tried to cancel this ticket on 31July at 6:30 PM But at that time Website (i.e. www.irctc.co.in) was not working for next 2hours. Because of this reason i was not able to cancel the ticket before 24hours of train running time. At the time of cancellation the website was displaying that you cant book or cancel your ticket due to connectivity problem.Therefore now IRCTC refunding me the amount after deducting 25% instead of deducting Rs 70/-. of delay in cancellation because of delay in cancellation which happened due to fault in IRCTC website not by me.

                Today I have booked to tickets to visakhapatnam from chennai for the date[protected] my andhra bank debitcard is charged with .Rs 645 for two tickets and after debit is made ticket is not issued and debit made to the card. The message shown :----

                      I want to change my mobile number in your irctc.co.in site, but actually I don’t the actual procedure but I was tried because of some mistake my id was not logging in. The actual problem is if I entered my id and password correctly, then also the error message was coming as invalid id or password

                        I have filed TDR on internet against PNR No.[protected] Transaction I.D- [protected] on 15 Jan 2012. TDR status is shown as "forwarded to CCM/CR Railway" against reference no. IRCTC [#689839]. despite a lapse of over 6 months the refund has not been credited into my bank account. such delays must be checked personally by the CCM/Refund, Northern Railways, New Delhi and take remedial measures to avoid such delay in future. the refund amt please be credited into my bank account without further delay.

                        Hi,

                        I had filed a TDR on 28-Jun-2011 for a ticket pnr no. [protected]. But till today 13th october the status is CCM Registered. And the same status is from more than 3 months.

                                We have booked a ticket from IRCTC site, for a train (Train No: 12129) in 3A compartment on[protected] from PUNE to HOWRAH but as the train was running late by 8-9 hours my husband raised TDR on March 18,2011 for the PNR : [protected] to get the money back.

                                The train was running late for more than 3 hours ideally 100% amount should be refunded but we got only 50% of the total fare and its more than a year now, they have not refunded our money.

                                  Please Look into this matter and help me in gettng my money back in same account from which money was deducted for ticket. As its more then 6 months and when I m calling on their helpline number they are saying that its railways responsibility not there responsiblity,they are just a mediator. So I find myself helpless where to go were to ask for refund. Please help.
                                  this issue is still pending please help.to get it resolved.And IRCTC customer care cumber is always busy n even though by chance phone get connected then its goes unattended.Please help

                                    1 I have booked my train ticket through my IRCTC account, i.e. from Jamnagar to Dadar, Dadar to Sainagar (Shirdi) and return journey from Sainagar (Shirdi) to Dadar and Dadar to Jamnagar.

                                    2 While in return journey the train from Sainagar (Shirdi) to Dadar was late by more then 7 Hours, therefore, we missed our next train from Dadar to Jamnagar.

                                    3 I have filled TDR for the same on 22 Jun 2012. After few days I came to know that only half of ticket amount passed for TDR filled. As per rule, if the connected train is late more than 3 hours, the TDR amount is to be passed in full. Whereas my train was late by 7 hours.

                                    4 Immediately, I sent E-mail to IRCTC about the fact of the matter. Since Last 1 month i am receiving email from IRCTC asking PNR Nos and train details, which i have already provided them. It is seen that IRCTC is not taking proper care about customers problems / TDR process for refund of amount.

                                    5 It is requested to guide me what to do now to get my full TDR amount.

                                    6 I will be very thankful to you and waiting for your prompt and positive reply.

                                      irctc while deducting cancellation charges deducted Rs 2262 instead of Rs 360 + Rs 20 towards transaction charges

                                      They have wrongly deducted more charges for cancellation even though we have cancelled well in advance (37 days in advance)

                                      we request you to take it up with irctc for the payment of the excee amount deducted and remit to our credit card account
