[Resolved]  JEE 2010 — Discrepancy in Paper of JEE 2010

Address:Delhi

My son, Mr Sameer Kumar appeared at JEE 2010. Due to discrepancy of subject headline printed in answer sheet, he answered as per the subject head printed there. He has not been informed about JEE decision for going as per serial no and not responding as per subject headline by the invigilator. When he came out from examination hall, then only he could know about this. He became nervous and due to this, he could not do well in his second paper. He got the punishment without his fault. It is his last chance. He went into depression and ultimately his career has been ruined.
I request you to forward this complain to the concerned to do justice with the student.
Regards

Hi
The fact is that the paper really had several flaws in it- no doubt of that. There have been occasions where JEE violated its own syllabus. On top of that the OMR issue plus the partial marking system. There is nothing but one way out: a re-exam.
Now, for those who think I am a loser at JEE 2010 trying to get another chance, let me tell you I am not a candidate, I am an instructor. Even some of my bright students have scored above 300. Some even didn’t pay heed to what subject was printed on the OMR, they answered according to the question number. Some who were more vigilant asked the examiner about it. I am not concerned about those who did well in the exam as if a re-exam is taken, they would do again well. But I have serious concerns for those who wasted at least five minutes to rectify what they should do- mark the questions according to number or OMR heading.
All of you, even those who scored well will agree that 5 minutes is really a big deal! If you get two questions correct in five minutes- u have 6 more marks, which can make a lot of difference if you are in the mediocre zone. I have already sent a mail requesting re-conduction of the examination to the JEE authorities. Many of my colleagues have. Even the CM of Bihar has written personally for this to the Ministry of Human Resource Development. I suggest to those who want a fair game- to request the JEE authorities via e-mail. The more requests they have, the more pressurized they would be to take actions.
In hope of making India a top technical nation,
RS Zaidi

I totally agree...even i wasted 10 minutes thinking wht to mark..
AN INTELLIGENT STUDENT WHO IS GIVING ONE OF THE MOST VERSATILE EXAMINATION WHICH NOT ONLY TESTS YOUR SUBJECT SKILLS BUT ALSO YOUR TEMPRAMENT AND CHARECTER OF HANDLING PRESSURE, IF DOESNT DISTINGUISH A SIMPLE PRINTING ERROR IS NOT EVEN WORTHY OF GIVING THIS EXAM.
RE EXAM IS A MOCKERY AND JUST A WASTE OF TIME.
NOBODY WOULD WAIT FOR RE EXAM TO OCCUR AND GAMBLE WITH AIEEE AND OTHERS EXAMS JUST RISKING THEIR FUTURE WITH IIT'S.
i totally agree with abhishek kamal (our names n thinking both r same!!! )...I[censored] had any experience of giving mock tests before JEE, u would know how important temperament is...arey yaar itne saare intelligent students hote hain but the winner is the one who knows how 2 handle pressure situations!!!

@sameer kumar--u must have thought that if IIT did not give instructions about marking answers(by subject or by ques no.), then this must have happened with every1 else n so IIT would have taken corrective measures(which it has done!!!)...so there would have been no need of disappointment!!!

@rick- "...those who did well in the exam as if a re-exam is taken, they would do again well.." hey man this is applicable for physics n maths but not for chem! u know how important it is 2 remember things in qualitative analysis, organic chem...it takes regular practise to have a hold on this subject...n i[censored] go out of touch for some weeks(like i have)...u forget it...n then re-xam...no man!!! n even in maths, i[censored] not a genius, then u need 2 be familiar with results!!! i[censored] have a re-xam n get selected, then remember that u have not competed with d best of students!!!
