[Resolved]  Kingfisher Airline — LOST BAGGAGE; RUDE BEHAVIOR

Dear Dr. Vijay Mallya,

I would like to put to test your message to all customers of King Fisher, to approach you directly if they face any problems. In this case it is a huge problem compounded by callous and unacceptable rude behaviour, on part of your manger in-charge LOST AND FOND DEPT, at Mumbai Airport, SHRI. TIWARI.

My Husband DR. R.A.BHALRAO, 76 years old, director of Hinduja Hospital, a well known surgeon, travelled by your flight IT4139, from MUMBAI to AURANGABAD, on 17th September 2009. He was to attend a conference in Aurangabad. He checked in his baggage, at Mumbai one hour in advance, of departure of flight. The bag contained his clothes, and most importantly his medicines. Since he is not supposed to carry any weights, he did not carry any hand baggage.

To his horror, his baggage was not on board, and not recd in Aurangabad when the flight landed. Needless to say we were all in Panic, as his critical medicines were in the baggage. Surely No one expects, on a non stop flight the baggage not to reach? Dear Dr. Vijay Mallya,

I, on his behalf contacted Mumbai airport, King Fisher staff and was put in touch with one Mr.Tiwari, manger lost and found. He was extremely unsympathetic, rude, and casual. To add insult to injury, he told me do not even bother us to check about the bag FOR THE NEXT FIVE DAYS. I requested him to give me a telephone number of any one senior to him, who may be more helpful. He rudely told me that even prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh cannot help you!

I and my husband are both doctors and have travelled domestic and international number of flights and have even had baggage misplaced, a couple of times. But, I must say that your airline specifically Mr. Tiwari takes the cake , never have we experienced, such a callous, insulting, and rude behaviour. I am sure that if we sue your airline, for damages, for inflicting mental torture, and physical hurt, you should not be surprised. Needless to say I shall await to hear from you
Best Regards
Dr. Mrs Vijaya Bhalerao

I have been flying frequently from mumbai to mangalore. This time I was returning back from mangalore to mumbai and i was waiting at the belt for my luggage. My luggage is missing and then at the king fisher counter for lost baggage has given me form where i had fill in my details and they have promised me that they will get my bag back. I tried calling the number provided by them 65975920 and it is busy from last 5 hours. I really don't know what to do as i have my important valuable things in the bag. Hope i get my bag back. Please let me what best i can do to get my back back. The airline department should take some more strict decision so there is no inconvenience like this to any other passenger.

King Fisher airlines — Lost of sony camcoder

Dear Sir,
I was traveling on kingfisher flight No: IT 0021 G on the 14th aug'09' which was your inaugural flight to bangkok...we were three persons traveling....i had a sony handy camcorder in my check in luggage which was locked from my side when i gave it for the check in but when i received my luggage in the bangkok airport saw my luggage seal was brokken seal and the locks clamp was broken so i doubted something might be wrong in my luggage so i immediately called the airport authority and opened my baggage in front of them and saw that my sony camcoder was not inside its bag and only the bag and charger was there of my sony camcorder, then the airport authority logged a written complain and told me to contact in the indian airport office of the kingfisher when i return back to india.i retuned on the 20th by kingfisher.i was shocked to see such a thing happen in a airlines like kingfisher that too in the inaugural flight. In the same flight one persons Rs:25000 cash got stolen from the check in baggage but he codent do anything as the airport authority told he was not allowed to carry indian currency in the check in baggage...
i would kindly request u to do and look sumthing in this this matter...

Thanking you...

Kingfisher Airline — iPOD stolen from my Checked-in baggage

I have been travelling by frequently for business trips for last 3 months between Mumbai and Delhi by Kingfisher and Jet Airways. Recently when I travelled from Delhi to Mumbai flight IT 310 on 30-Oct-09 at 14:10 AM my 80 GB Apple iPod classic got stolen from my check-in baggage. I could discover this only on Sunday (1-Nov) when I open my bag and could see only empty iPod box with iPod missing within. This has been really shocking as with such a big airline I did not expect this thing to happen. I have given this feedback on site to Kingfisher airline and now been waiting for their reply on this. I would not recommend this airline to anyone.
Dear Mrs.Vijaya,

My Husband also has lost his baggage in Kingfisher Airlines. Its been five days now and ha has not been able to trace his bag.
He had a flight from siliguri to kolkatta on 25th jan 2010. He had just one baggage. And on 26th he had a flight to Dubai. Just by luck he had his passport in his pocket. Its been 5 days now of complaining to kingfisher airlines, but havent yet found the baggage.
I guess it is lost.
Whats the procedure to claim charges for the baggage.?
Please let me know what was the response to your letter.

Thanking you

My nephew flew in yesterday 24th December 2010 from Bangkok direct to Mumbai by Kingfisher in the morning and after a one and a half hours wait at the baggage carousel in Mumbai International airport he was informed that luggage of a group of passengers had been off loaded at Bangkok airport to accommodate luggage of another group of passengers.

My nephew lives in Pune and he had gone to Bangkok for a business meeting. His bag containing vital papers documents and all his clothes is still not traced.

The sad part is that there is no one in Kingfisher who can be contacted directly in this regard.

Just now my nephew called me to inform that Kingfisher has also removed all the baggage tags intentionally and none of the five pieces of bags shown to him by Kingfisher at Pune airport this evening are not his.

We feel completely lost.

Is Dr Mallya listening ?
