The employee had submitted the form and was forwarded to the PF office. the Employee name was different as per records and as filled in the PF declaration form at the time of joining the company. (mix up between Husband's name (Mr John Christy and Father's name (Mr F X John Bosco))
Therefore, the PF office had sent it back to the employee through the employer. the said form was lost in the transit. And declaration was submitted by the employee clearing the name clarification on[protected]. It was received at PF office on[protected] and the Cheques dated[protected] was despatched to the employee by the PF office.

I am facing a similar problem. I have left the company in June 2008 and it has been almost a year and i am yet to receive any news on my Provident Fund settlement. I was told in between that there was some problem with the form that i had submitted and subsequent to which i had sent a fresh form to the HR department.
Now after one year I am being told that since the company has not filed their IT returns my claims cannot be processed. I am yet to understand that why i should be penalised for the negligence of the company. It is very clear that the company is not at all serious about its employees and it taking them as well as the Govt for a ride.
