[Resolved]  Lifestyle Stores Home Centre — Non-delivery of Furniture & unprofessional behaviour

My letter to Lifestyle below reflects the harrowing time I had with them :

[protected][protected][protected][protected][protected]------

Dear Sir,
I would like to submit a complaint against the Home Centre section of your mall. Below are the purchase details :
Invoice Date[protected]
Invoice # :275268
Promised Delivery Date :[protected]
Items : Hampton N/S (02) ; Hampton C/D (01) ; Hampton (D/W)
Order # : O1377

Issue : The first 2 items have been delivered early Dec but we are yet to get the Dressor/Mirror. I have been continously following up with Xavier and even his manager (Anand) for this. Inspite of that we were delivered the same damaged piece (Twice !!) which we refused to accept. The first time it was not even wrapped in a carton and just delivered in a bubble wrap. After multiple calls to Xavier/Anand , the next time the same piece was delivered with minor touch-up but neatly packed. This was so distasteful to be cheated like that.

More followups from my side followed in early Jan ( and I have telephone record for the same) and there was no resolution. False promises were made time and again. After one and half month of pain ,I even was willing to buy the damaged piece from Lifestyle - when Xavier/Anand offered me an unbelievable deal - of 10% discount for buying a damaged piece. This in my opinion was utter non-sense - why would I buy a damaged piece after 2 months delay for paltry 10% discount. I was then told that they Lifestyle will get a new piece to me in early Feb. Its Feb 13 today and I have not reveived a single call from Lifestyle on the issue.

It has been a nightmare for me to shop at Lifestyle - even being a Inner Circle member for years now. I have now decided to proceed legal on this case and will not entertain any cummunication from Lifesytle on this matter outside the court.

Also the same letter will be posted on all shopping review sites today to make sure more consumers are NOT cheated by your flashy showrooms and ZERO Service Quality business.

Dear Sir,
I would like to submit a complaint against the Home Centre section of Lifestyle store, Richmond road, Bangalore. Below are the details of items purchased:
Items: Indus Bed (01) ; Indus 3 door wardrobe(01) ; Wave 5 door wardrobe (01): Wave Bed (01): Freedom Wall Unit ( 01)

Issue : The items have a fungus formation on the inside and outside of the furniture. I have been continuously following up with Sridhar and even his manager (Ansari) for this. In spite of that we were there has been no help from them. Just as an eyewash, they sent their team of carpenters to inspect the items which were faulty. In spite of, many such visits and inspections, I am still left clueless about the solution to the problem. This was so distasteful to be cheated like that.

More follow ups from my side followed and there was no resolution. False promises were made time and again. After one and half month of pain, Its January 15, 2011 today and I have not received a single call from Lifestyle on the issue.

It has been a nightmare for me to shop at Lifestyle - even being a Inner Circle member for years now.
Also the same letter will be posted on all shopping review sites today to make sure more consumers are NOT cheated by your flashy showrooms and ZERO Service Quality business.

Lifestylestores — Cheating

Lifestyle, Begumpet Hyderabad is cheating public by sticking false Price Sticker on top of product manufacturer's price sticker with a higher price, and incorrect packing date.
I purchased 4 Nos. Jockey Briefs (Code 1004, Size L) double pack on 17 April 2011 which had the price sticker of the stores showing the price as Rs.210 and I was charged Rs.210 for each.
The pack had the manufacturer's price sticker as Rs.190 inclusive of taxes. The pack also had an offer of Rs.20 off on each pack and the wording that the price is after discount. However lifestyle store charged me Rs.210 for each pack.
This is clearly cheating by restricted trade practice.
Please let me know how to lodge a case against lifestyle in consumer court. I bought a dining table. The glass top came out after using for few months. The glass top was repaired by lifestyle but again it has come out. Lifestyle has very poor customer service and neither send customer on the time nor replace the unit.

ITS A NIGHTMARE TO SHOP FROM LIFESTYLE HOMECENTER. THEY SELL CHEAP CHINESE PRODUCTS. BEWARE OF IT.
