[Resolved] Lion Dates — insects in dates

TO LION DATES CEO,
I `ve purchased lion dates (seedless),200gm from MORE located at 104 Area, Vizag on 25 Oct 10.After opening the pack we found live insects in all dates. This was horrifying as it is a food product and we could have easily consumed it without checking on assumption of expiry date. It is sad to inform you that the belief of your company product has gone and I would rather purchase local dates from footpath which are far better from your lavishly consealed box containing insects wrapped by dates.
I believe that there are some type of management or supervisors to take enough care and precaution when you pack such items. If not, I would request you to wake up and act accordingly.
Also pls take neccassary action.

I bought a lion dates 200 gram packet yesterday. with packed date july 2009... when i opened it today i found full of tiny insects...

I am buying Lion Dates for the past 1 year. But for the last three months (J une, July & August) I found the Quality is not good . Also even in a newly packed Dates I found a lot of tiny insects. I am not at all satisfied with this. Finding such insects even in the Brands such as yours it disappoints a lot.

I brought Lion dates [500G+100gFree], I found lot of insects inside the pack, this happen last time also.

I called the call centre numnber[protected] and simply i got answer that we will come and replace the container soon.

My question, who is compensate if something goes wrong after eating this one? how can we measure their quality? simply i can say that these types of vendors making advertisement and selling a poor quality items to consumers.

Will government make some actions?

Dear Sir/madam

We reside in Madipakkam. We bought lion dates seedless half kg pack and we were shocked to see many insects alive. Never expected such a poor quality from such a branded company.

And unknowingly we consumed in the night for the past 3 days. We noticed only today and we saw the expiry date and only bought it. So there are no chances for that also.

Hope you take necessary action. We are planning to send the sample to Food and Adulteration department for further testing

I also bought Lion Dates 200gm pack. And it was full of white insects which were alive. I noticed it only when pack was almost finished. And almost all of the remaining pieces were full of insects. Pack was well within expiry ( April'2012). Please take some action.
