[Resolved]  Maruti 800 — Bad Service

Sub: Complaint on bad service of Maruti 800 at your Authorised service centre U M Cars, Indiranagr, Bangalore

Dear Sir,

Maruti 800 car bearing registration no KA19 N2625 was sent to service by me on[protected] and subsequently on[protected].

On[protected], when the car was given for service to replace the coolant hose & coolant, estimate went on changing every minute making me wonder whether they are really taking me for a ride.

Finally it was decided that he will repair it for Rs 2500=00, I never understood the concept, I paid Rs 2620=00 in the evening and collected the car.

Later I found that nothing has been done as the same problem persisted . Even though the service was done, coolant was changed, engine was getting heated up abnormally and intermittently stopping every now and then.

Again I gave it for service on 11-9-08, crosschecked with him whether he can deliver the car on 12-9-08, he agreed and later backtracked saying that the car cant be serviced on 12-9-08 and it will take a day more citing some festival causing great inconvenience.

On[protected], they gave me the car back proclaiming that it is serviced and gave me a bill of Rs 2300=00. Again I found that he has not done any service because engine got heated and it stopped aabruptly in the middle of a main road at a distance of 4 kms from the service centre.

I called one of their staffs Mr Shivaram who serviced the car and who agreed to send a mechanic immediatley.He never turned up causing unnecssary problem to public as well as myself.

So I request you to check up whether UM cars is authorised by you to provide service. If so, please refrain him from taking people for a ride by giving some exorbitant bills and mentioning remarks about future service and problems.

Why do we need his service if he is not able to fufill the aspirations of the middle class people who vie for a maruti as it is very economical and efficient.

i am chanchalpreet singh bhalla.i bought a brand new maruti 800 ac from mordern dealship in chandigarh on 3rd of feb 2009.my car had a ratling sound in my dash bord.i have sent the car 3 times for the same problem but i am surprised that the problem is not rectified by the dealship.
I have faced a similar problem at UM cars. My car UP 16 6587 was serviced in 2009. The initial estimate was 2000, it went upto 14, 500 and finally I had to pay a bill of Rs 14000.
This time when I took my car for servicing, an estimate of Rs 8000 was give.
Simple unacceptable.

with due respect i just want to bring to your notice the bad service of maruti authorised service center SHAURYA MOTORS near greater kailash jammu (jammu and kashmir).
our car met with an accident on 19th march and for it repairs we shifted it to shaurya motors and we were told that we will receive our car within 15 days. its about 2 months now and still we have not received anything. whenever we go there we are told that there are some spare parts missing. the car is lying in such a worse condition that it will just not be able to maintained when repaired. there is no one to tell us anything. if this is the service maruti banks on i must say its just fake and just in advertisements and papers.
we have already met with lot of loss and frustration because of this service.
i urge higher authorities that if they have time for customers then to look for such inconvenience.....
