[Resolved]  Meru Taxi — Complaint against cab DL1RY2565/ Driver Madan Lal

This is with reference to one of your cab's no. DL1RY2565 being driven by driver Madan Lal on 3rd March at 10.30am on NH8, New Delhi. Please note that the driver Madan Lal was not only rash in his driving but also highly rude and arguementative. On my way to office, he overtook me with a sharp cut from the left side on NH8 and hit my wagon-r from behind on the left side. Please be informed that any vehicle that overtakes you from the left side is automatically violating the traffic rules. Given the fact that he did not admit his mistake and argued endlessly goes to prove that he is not aware of the traffic law and I am surprised how Meru can allow him to be driving on the road as this is very dangerous. Would also highlight that when the driver was arguing with me, he made a shocking remark which must be taken very seriously as it is an open threat to citizens like me. He said (in Hindi)- "Be grateful, had I hit you properly, you and your car would have been toppled under some bridge by now and believe me I am capable of it!" How can he openly make such threats and be still allowed to drive on the road? Is that to scare me because I am a lady driver? Had he said this to any male on the road, no one would have accepted such threat to their life.

I demand that strict action be taken against such drivers in your organization starting with Madan Lal as a example to the other drivers. I have also reported the matter to your customer care department at the time when the incident took place. Please get back to me with the status of my complaint asap. Else, I would need to escalate this to higher authorities even if need to involve the Indian Traffic Law Abiding regulatory bodies.

Meru Taxi — Can't rely on them

I had booked a Meru Taxi on 14th Oct 09 from Bandra to Domestic Airport for 15th Oct evening. They said me a confirmatory SMS indicating my registration number. The taxi was supposed to reach at 4.45 pm. I waited till almost 5.15 pm only to receive a call from Meru saying Taxi was unavailable. Never depend on Meru. You will repent.
