[Resolved]  Muffins Cake Shop — Non-return of payment after cancellation of order

I had placed an order online with this company on 10 Oct 2008 for next day delivery, which cost me Rs.850. I had paid through paysignet and the amount was immediately debited from my account. The next day, I did not receive the order, and no information either about the same. Hence, I logged in a complaint at their customer care link on the site, and also cancelled the order, asking for the refund of my money. The concerned person just kept on saying that he has not authorized the payment, hence he cannot return the same. I confirmed from my bank and told him that the amount has been successfully debited from my account, hence he must have received it in his account. Also, since the transaction was done directly from my account to his, there was no question of authorization. Yet, this person did not recredit the amount to my account, inspite of repetaed reminders. And now, when I told him that I am going to take legal action him, he has even stopped responding to my e-mails. FYI, the conversation is duly saved in my inbox and can be made available for your reference.

We have till today not received the payment from the said customer, we requested her to send her bank statement indicating the payment proof which till today has not been supplied.

I agree with Manisha, this manit guy we are all going to file a petition for your website to be shut down. Shameless people like you deserve hell, and even that wouldn't be enough. Sick!

I just accidentally ran into this forum while looking for Muffins Cake Shop on google to leave my review.

I recently(April 2010) had very good experience with Manit and his team at Muffins Cake Shop. My emails were responded quickly and I like the fact that there is a lot of ways to get in touch with them (live chat, email, phone..). I used all 3...since initially I too was a hesitant if they would deliver around midnight hour in my small town and their product quality.

I ordered a Black Forrest Cake and Rose flowers. The cake was delicious (was from one of the best bakers in my town), the Roses in the boutique were done great.
I am very satisfied with the service, two thumbs up.
if am not wrong I think Imtiaz is one of Manit's staff. His comment is false.

I agree with Karthik, this online cake shop has really bad service standards. My story is worse.
I ordered a cake, it was sent earlier than suppose to be. Secondly the message that was suppose to be written wasnt even there, though i did make it mandatory. Nonetheless when i called mr manit, he spoke to me soo rudely, its just unbelievable, i have never in my life heard someone speak like that to their customers no matter what. i asked him why my message was'nt on the cake, he said it was small for the message to be there, i was like okay. After that i said to him, why didnt you inform me beforehand that this was so, he said to me your feelings have reached in the card, what else do u want now. I was like whaaaaaaat. How can you say that to me, and he was like now what do you want. he even said you want me to shut down my business for you i'll do that. i said i demand an apology letter and i want you to follow up with me regarding this issue, he just put the phone down. When my husband called them, they Imitaz picked up, and then put down, when we tried calling them they didnt answer. I urge manit to go for anger management classes or at least improve his professional attitude. I came across this forum and saw that many people have had similar or worst experiences with this guy. I also saw that some of his comments on consumer complaints are soo defensive and not appropriate, he needs to get a grip on PR.

I had placed my order at muffins and my order no is UCS[protected] placed at date - 11/11/2010 for amount 3300 paid through my Card. From my Cr.Card statement I can see the amount being reflected against MUFFINS CAKE SHOP KOLHAPUR IN. The cake was supposed to be delivered on 19th Nov and it has still not been delivered. I am trying all the numbers but am unable to reach any of them. I need a refund of my money immediately. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Muffins Cake Shop — Non-Refund of Money

I have placed an order, and that was never delivered to the US address of my relatives in April. Moreover, Mr.Manit from Muffins Cake Shop sent a mail confirming the non-delivery. He confirmed that the money will be refunded back to the card in 10-15 days, now it is over 2 months money has not been credited back to my card.
There were 2 reminders sent, but no-one responded to those mails.
I don't want this thing to get ugly in future, as i have been a regular customer of theirs. I would request Mr.Manit and other officials involved in Muffins Cake shop to take this matter seriously and credit back my money immediately.
