[Resolved]  National Insurance Co Ltd — Survey fees denied for Rs.1,17,835/-

I am an insurance surveyor and loss assessor. I was appointed for survey of damage to a textile export unit near Coimbatore, by a storm and was requested to make an assessment of the loss. This was attended and my report was submitted to the Regional Office of National Insurance Co Ltd, Coimbatore, along with my bill for survey fees and expenses. While my expenses have been paid, my survey fees (and service tax) were denied for Rs.1,17,835/-. The
Regional Office is totally silent despite my reminders to them on this subject.
