at first i had the same doubts. but i discovered that if you convert a video then make sure that you have the video bitrate between 100 to 300. winthin this bitrate you can be sure to get better video qwality without any stops or freezes. increased bitrate put too much pressure in the phones processor. and while playing a video from the gallery make sure to press the previous button in the mobile once after 3 or 4 seconds of playback. doing this will improve the video's frame rate. all converters are not good. try to find a converter that helps to edit every details in the video. i.e. video bitrate, audio bitrate, frame rate, resolution, ...etc...a good combination helps to run the video smoothly without any freezes. for eg, 320*240 resolution, 256kbps video bitrate, 128kbps audio bitrate, 30fps frame rate. all the videos in my mobile has this configuration and none of them stops for a sec and it consumes about 12 MB for a 5 to 6 minutes video.
