[Resolved]  Nokia 5310 Xpress Music — Poor Service that has damaged my mobile phone

Hi,
My name is Saurabh Taneja. Suddenly there was aproblem occurred in my nokia 5310 xpress music mobile phone. Problem is it got heated up very much on standby mode and battery gets drained out in 1-2 hrs. I visited Nokia Care pitam pura for the problem. They adviced me to purchase new battery. I purchased it and it cost me Rs 1200. But the problem remain same. I went back and they chec the battery again then returned it to me then probem remain same. I went there for six times in 3 months everytime they returned me set. At last they said its a software problem its not with me; please visit another nokia care. Then I visited another Nokia Care branch its in rohini near M2K (Dexter's Lab); there they kept my phone for 2 weeks and they said it can not repairable. When I start my phone now then one more problem occurs that is camera is not getting started.I purchased my phone in Rs 12000.

Please help me for the same...

I have bought the above-noted set one month back which is infested with certain technical problems. During the first week itself it started giving me problem in the form of rebooting three to four times a day without ant reason. The phone also hangs many times a day. I am really frustrated with this product and do not want to visit nokia cares every week for software updating. Since I have paid a good amount for this phone, I expect full value for my money and ask you to replace the set at the earliest. Also ensure that such problems do not creep up in future and that our faith in Nokia remains undaunted.

Nokia/ Mobile Phone 5310 — Not replacing defective Nokia handset Model 5310

Dear Sir,

I have purchased Nokia 5310 in December 2007 at the cost of Rs. 11, 000/- from authorised shop. Comparing still photography with video it is observed that video quality is poor as compare to still photography. If i focus an object with camera in still mode the object appears bright of good quality but as i change to video mode the same object appears dark and the video is also dark. In other Nokia phones the same is not observed.

I have given the set for repair four times at Nokia care at Noida vide job sheet No. [protected] dated 29/02/08, [protected] dated 24/04/08, [protected] dated 28/04/08 and [protected] dated 19/05/08. Each time I have been assured that the set has been repaired. But while checking myself I find the defect still exist. Third time my cell phone was replaced but the new one is also having same defect. It seems 5310 has permanent or design defect. My mobile phone is still with Nokia Care since 19/05/08. I have discussed and explained the defect to Mr. Jatin of Nokia Care Centre, Noida and to Mr. Kumar and Mr. Wadhawan of Nokia Head Office, Gurgoan but defect has not been resolved. If this defect cannot be removed than why Nokia care: -

1) Has taken the phone for repair four times.
2) Each time during taking delivery I have been informed by Nokia Care that phone has been repaired.
3) Is not responding to my emails dated 28/04/08, 5/5/08, 09/05/08, 13/05/08 and 19/05/08 to Shri Bharat Malik, Shri Manoj Wadhawan and Shri Rakesh K Gupta.

Kindly look into the matter. I suggest that you constitute a technical team to examine the fault/ defect explained above. I am ready to explain further to the technical team at Nokia Care Centre at Noida or anywhere else.

I am really upset due to poor quality of video and unsatisfactory after sale service from a reputed company.

I shall appreciate early response.

Nokia - 5310 Xpress Music — Expecting a Replacement of my Instrument

Dear Sir / madam,

This is with reference to the Nokia-5310 Xpress Music which I have purchased on 16th December 2007, just have complete 6 months and was the Latest Model when it was purchased by me. Look wise the Cell Phone is good looking. Have met with so many issues in last 6 months, first if you look at the model the base model is in Black with Cherry Color Flaps on both left & right side corners of LCD Screen. The rights side Flap where we have Music Push Buttons, was pilled off, due to it was looking very pathetic. Last monday a call was made to my office at 1132hrs, when the call was completed, it was observed by me that the LCD screen of my Cell Phone was Conked Off and there was so many different colors were coming on the Screen. Was fail to understand that what has happened to my New Cell, so decided to approach Nokia Care Team in Gurgaon since my Job is in Gurgaon.Well I reached at Nokia Care and started interacting with them, I was shocked when the Nokia Care - Customer Care Manager - Mr. Deepak told me that the problem rectification would be on payment basis only since the LCD Screen has been crashed of my Cell Phone and the charges will be Rs.2, 150/- (Rupees Two Thousand one hundred & Fifty only). Have told them that it has just completed his 6 months of its life, why should I pay this amount. The Gentlemen replied that either you pay this amount or we won't be able to help you in this. Now one can think that If I have to purchase a Cell Phone of my choice and that is a cost of Rs.10, 679/-, there was no choice for me to handover the instrument to them for defect rectification, I make up my mind to pay the same amount to the Nokia Care. Now from last 4 days that instrument is with them only which was promissed to handover to me on the same evening. Another defect which was noticed by me when I reached there to collect my Cell Phone instrument, the core upper keys were not working (Up - Down / Right - Left Arrow, and two keys of left & right), when I enquired the same from Mr. Deepak, he said that, it is not their fault, the said keys were not working earlier as well, you should have inform us about the same which you didn't. Now this was hike of that Gentleman who was not even ready to listen to his Customer and he state away blamed that the LCD Display was intentially broken.

It has been currently given to the Nokia Care at Instant Solutions (Nokia Authorised Service Centre), 5-8, Devi Palace, 522/3, Prem Nagar, Old Delhi Road, Opp Raj Cinema Hall, Gurgaon - 122001 (Haryana) and the Job Sheet no is 001 Dated[protected]. Since I have purchased the phone at a very dear price, we expect full value for our money and ask you to replace the set at the earliest. Also ensure that such problems do not creep up in future and that our faith in Nokia remains undaunted. Have seen Shahrukh Khan in this Cell Phone's Add Campain, we Like Shahrukh Khan but Cell Phone should also be upto the Mark.

Nokia 5310 Xpress Music — Unnatural behaviour of phone

I am from vadodara and have given mobile in NOKIA CARE in vadodar near aksharchowk
PROBLEM WITH MOBILE: restarting of mobile as per its wish, hanging up of phone, faster heating up of battery.
When first time my mobile was sent, it took more than one month for nokia care to respond with the guarantee of return in 25 days. And when i made call then they replied ur phone has been sent again as ur problems are not solved. And now totally they have sent my mobile for 4 times for reparing pupose, So u can understand that what the kind of lifespan the mobile will have.I have told the to give write my complaint for replacement but they told that this complaint is not to be written by nokia care but to nokia careline and when i have phone nokia care line they replied this is to be done in nokia care. SO i am now in very pathetic situation. They are not going in the way for which i have purchase only nokia and not any other mobile. They are still not able to remove my problem/s even after going for 3 times checking. They r not giving me my true information about my phone and used to avoid me and not working as per the reputation of NOKIA.

NOKIA 5310 — poor music

recently i bought a nokia 5310 X-press music n hav found no loud music as it seems in the advertisements but Yes, it has option to connect your sub-woofers n speakers so as to get high volume music but the phone doesnt have enough built-in speaker volume. Its not at all satisfactory when it comes to music. I bought it keepin in mind tht its gonna explode my room but its not upto the mark.
But yes the features are nice and overall the phone is good and has good battery life also.

Nokia 5310 Xpress Music — Mobile under repaire not delivered (Job sheet no. 1200241289 )

Hi,
I had given my mobile for repaire as it was restarting & sound on the speaker was low.It was submitted at A-78, Sector 2, NOIDA (U.P ) 201301. My mobile was kept for almost one month.
In the repaire process the volume adjustment key was damaged as it was not doing anything.So, I had to resubmit the mobile at the same time on the request of the Manager. Still my mobile is not delivered to me. I was exploited & mentally harrased in the process. Now, I am tired of visiting your centre. I would wait for the reply to know how Nokia company can compensate me. I had been without the mobile for more than one and half month. If I do not get any satisfactory answer, I would launch a complaint to protect all my consumer rights in the Court of Law.

I had purchased Nokia 5310 express music on 11th Oct'08. On 3rd Nov its display started behaving abruptly.I had given my mobile to a nokia care center in aundh, pune. they said that it has to be sent to Nokia workshop and will be done in a week. I got a call from them after a week that it is fine and you can come and collect it now. But when I went there I saw its cover for USB port was missing. also the display was still not repaired. The points I want to higlight here are:
1) The mobile created problems within a month only.
2)The mobile was not repaired. This was not checked neither by the Nokia workshop before sending it to the Nokia care nor by the technicians at Nokia care and they just called me to collect it..
3) The USB port cover was missing..

I doubt that by the time I get back my mobile what all parts will be removed, damaged..
All in all I will never buy Nokia again..neither I will recomment anyone to buy it..its just hopeless.

Nokia 5310 Xpress Music — Hearhead not workind

Dear Sir,
On 14.01.2009 ie. yesterday I bought a handset of nokia set model no 5310 Xpressmusic. From the first day I can't able to use my headset. When i attached the headset with phone one earhead not working.
I complain to retailer but they told for go to nokia care. I also go to nokia care but, they told that to deposit the headset for repairing and come again after 7 to 10 days.
I therefore ask a question that, is this the support which we expect from nokia.??

i m using xpress music phn.just 7 mnths have passed the camera is malfuctning.whenever i switch it on it, it does not opens and shows a standby mode.
I hav reset the phn with factory settings but of no betterment.

NOKIA 5310 — poor service

i had bought a nokia 5310 handset in november 2008 and got the first complaint in Jan 2009, and i had given it in PHONE WORLD Nokia Care at Calicut, the complaint was with the display and they had changed the display by taking more than 15 days, and in the month of march again the phone got complaint but this time for the God sake it was not with the display but with charging node. To clear this small complaint they again took more than two weeks, and again on June 1st the display was blank and when i had gone to your service centre in calicut, they told me unsteadily that it should be taken to the company. So what should i do?? I think i will have to buy a handset of some other company to use in the meantime, because I dont think i will be able to use the phone without any complaint hereafter. As in the last Six months i cant use the set for more than 1 month, then what's the use of buying a costly handset of your company.

So I request you to take my complaint into consideration or provide me with another phone.

Nokia 5310 Xpress Music — Dedicated play pause keys

Hi,
I bought a Nokia 5310 Xpress music phone from a nokia store in mumbai (mulund) in April.

Within 10 days time the phone started to hang and used to switched off at will.

Upon contacting Nokia care in Delhi (Dwarka) where i live they said an old version software has been uploaded in the phone. On my asking them to replace the phone, they said it cannot be replaced but the software can be upgraded in the same phone. I agreed and got back the phone in 10 days. Now after using the phone for just 2 days the phone gets switched off at will again.

I really want to understand what kind of phone nokia such a BIG BRAND manufactures. OK one can understand that some cell phones can be faulty but its your duty as a companny to ensure the phone is replaced with a new one. Now clearly as a customer who has paid a hefty amount would want my phone to be replaced as soon as possible.

Nokia — NOKIA Care has damaged my phone

Hi,

I owns a nokia E-51 which I purchased in Oct 2008. Within 8 months I had to give this cell phone to Service Center 4 times for Software and vibrator issue.

Yesterday I went to collect my NOKIA E-51 and when I received the phone I found the panel of the Camera is broken. They had already kept the phone with them for more than 10 days and again kept the phone for 7 working days.

I have complained about this on Customer Care but could not get any firm response.I have already taken the huge amount of toll of submitting and collecting the phone. I have not purchased this phone for giving it to Repair Center all the time. Since last 15 days I don't have my phone.

I want someone to take strict action against NOKIA. Is anybody aware of Consumer Court process I am thinking of going in consumer Court against NOKIA.

Nokia - 5310 Xpress Music — Handset Battery Misplaced

This is to inform you that i had purchased a NOKIA 5310 Xpress Music Handset from the Nokia Priority Dealer Outlet in Kolkata Saltlake, the address of the same being BF - 192, Sector - 1, Saltlake City, Kolkata - 700064. ( Ph:[protected], [protected] ).The warranty period for the Handset is over. Recently, i was facing some problems with the set as it was getting hanged. I went to the Priority Dealer Outlet on the 26th of July 2009 to show them the problem. I was told that there was a software problem in the Handset, and i would have to leave it for repairing. I was also told that my phone contact memory would get deleted. I decided to keep a back up of my contact details in the computer which was there in the outlet. Prior to taking back up of my contact details, my SIM card and the Memory Card was handed over to me. After the contacts backup was taken, i gave my Handset to the concerned person in the outlet. On the 29th of July 2009, i received a call from this outlet, where i was told that my handset was repaired and that i should collect it. On reaching the outlet, they gave me the Handset and asked for the battery so that they could check it. When i told them that the battery was never handed over to me, they started to deny the fact and kept on insisting that they had given the battery to me. I was carrying the SIM card and the Memory card as these were the only two things given to me. They are not ready to accept the fact that the battery has been misplaced by them. Had the battery been with me, i would have taken it to the outlet to get the mobile started. Without the battery, the handset becomes useless. I want a replacement battery from the outlet, but they are not ready to do so.

I would request that my complaint be dealt with utmost seriousness.
