I am regular Nokia mobile user. 8 months back I bought Nokia 5800 and from the time I bought it I am having so many complaints about the peice. I have contacted my dealer as well as Nokia center but no one is ready to take my complaint.
Problems I am facing with the peice are:
First it started getting hang when I was using camera and songs. For this I have pdated the software almost 5 6 times. Still I am facing the same problem. Now it became dead. I have given my piece to Nikoa care but they are saying that they can't replace it though it is in warranty period. They are just trying to avaoid their responsibilites.
It's giving me so much of frustration and it's very bad experience with such a reputed company. My piece is still in warranty period and still these people are not ready to replace it. I am not at all happy with the way they are handling my complaints. This will be my last Nokia piece and I am not going to advice anyone to use Nokia products.

Nokia 5800 — MANAFACTURING DEFECT

i have purchased a nokia 5800 xpressmusic during jan 2009 since then i have two time given my phone for service for various problems, i.e:-
1)incoming sound fluctuation &
2)display flickering.
due to these problems in my handset I would like you to replace my instrument.I have also registered a complaint via phone in nokia care[protected] my complain no. is 2-3wlt3n.Your support in this matter will be really helpful
Hi my ph is now almost 3 months old and i wad having a problem that my screen went blank whenever there was a call incomning or outgoing.It was because of the proximity sensors.I went to nokia care recently and now they are saying i dropped the phone and its my fault!!!
they are not covering the phone under warrenty and im really unhappy with the kind of service NOKIA is providing.
I loved my phone wen i Bought it but since the first day its giving me problems and now i simply HATE it!
I do not trust NOkia for anything..
I puchased one NOKIA 5800 handset in May-09 from Big Bazaar. The speaker was defective. Next day, I approached Big Bazaar who obliged me with a replacement. Again the new handset was found to be defective. This time it was the touch screen. The Big Bazaar sales persons were also surprised to notice such manufacturing defects in two brand new handsets. Now Big Bazaar as well as NOKIA is insiting to try a third one. What a brand? They are just making me fool.When contacted the NOKIA customer care, there was very poor response. They even didn't register the complaint. I am surprised whether it is the same NOKIA brand who had earlier earned fame but, now has launched such failed product in the market.

I purchased Nokia 5800 on 22/02/09 from Noida (IMEI- [protected]).
From the date of purchase I am have problem with Instrument, it got hanged in night when I restart it start functioning, poor sound quality, internet no working. I went to Nokia centre Noida and submitted the Instrument to them on 06/04/09 (Job sheet number.[protected]/090406/22). But problem was not solved then second time I went there and they have taken the Instrument again on 13/05/09 (job sheet number.[protected]/090513/150) I got Instrument back on 15th may found the problem is still there I went there centre again submitted the Instrument to them this time they have given me the manual job sheet number on 15/05/09 (job sheet number 102/15/05/2009) and I called to the call centre and complaint about the matter (complaint number 2_40MXF7 on15/05/09) After three or four days I got the Instrument with same problem. Then launched complaint online on 29/05/2009. I got a reply with no positive result I was asked to submit the Instrument again.
For the Fourth time I have submitted the Instrument to Noida centre with the commitment from the centre head that they will send the Instrument to head office for replacement on 04/06/09 (job sheet number[protected]/090604/58). I approached on 10th June and came to know the Instrument is missing in the centre after two hrs I get a call from Noida centre that your Instrument has come after repairing. I have not collected the Instrument from them till date. They are least bothered about the matter after 10 June I mailed the matter twice to nokia but did not get any response. Today I called to nokia call centre launched complaint again (1_[protected] on 19/06/09) got same stereo recorded commitments. I am frustrated now with their commitments.
Sir every time I am losing my data, wasting my time for nothing. It is my request to get in to the matter. I want replacement or my money back because this is their manufacturing defect which they are not excepting.

I bought my Nokia 5800 set in Feb 09 . This is the worst set nokia have ever manufactured, it started giving problem within onetwo months of purchase and the nokia care and customer care are just an eyewash.I have given the handset to nokia care three time with the request to replace the set but each time they return it saying the set has been repaired. I do not understand how the reputed company like nokia can deliver such a defective item in market and after that refused to change it. I certainly will never purchase a nokia product in future nor will advice anyone to do so.
Am facing exactly the same problem. I've even got the handset replaced, but the second hanset also has the same problem.

Nokia 5800 — Defective Instrument

I purchase Nokia 5800 on 10/10/2009 from Kandivali Mumbai. On reaching home i found that on/off switch was not working properly. I contact the store and i was told that they will have to send it to Nokia service center for replacement.

After more than 3 week there is no communication from Nokia service center. If this is situation of Nokia sercive in Mumbai, I can Imagine the condition in smaller town.


If piece is found defective immediately on purchase then compnay should replace the same insted of insisting on replaing.

We do not accept such approch from reputed compnay like Noikia.

My Nokia 5800 Xpress music phone was not swithed on after 20 day’s of purchase. It is now under warrenty, I have given this phone to Nokia Care, Balasore, Orissa.they have taken 24 days to repair, but they have given me a old nokia 5800with different IMEI no. which was not as my 5800.In this phone lot of damages are there with old software version, no free GPS subscription.when I again gave a complain to Nokia care they only updated the software, not given the newer phone.after one day I found that the phone is restating automatically in every 30-45 sec and after 2-3 times of restarting it is switched off. Now after pressing the swith on button it is not switching on similar to first problem.If Nokia care is unable to repair my original phone, they should given me a another new nokia phone as it is under warrenty, but they don’t have a rights to give the older phone which has a lot of problems.Anyhow i want immediately a complete new 5800 model, otherwise I will go for consumer case.

I have buy nokia5800Xpressmusic on 19-11-09. from that day mobile is switched off.afterthat incomming call facility is cut off this set. i show this set two time in nokiacare but problem is not solve.incomming call become direct receive call and phone is cut offafter that memory card is take out from the set and sw on again after sw on memory card insert then incomming call came.i am also want to know that day, free head set scheme is available or not because the dealer is sayiny me that day scheme is not available after 2 days it come.is it true or not
I had very similar and frustrating experience with nokia 5800.
I bought this phone in US during a Business visit 3 months ago.
From the beginning the touch pad became un-operational occasionally. I usually switch off and on the mobile.
However from last few weeks the phone is dead with touch pad. When I gave to nokia care they took some 4 happy days just to say that they cant do anything as they were not able to upgrade the software in the device. What kind of answer is this? And when i insisted on what should I do next, they were referring me a dealer, really really strange? Is that the inability of nokia to service this product ?.
I had a huge hope on nokia and mainly on this model and my whole dream is devastated and my 300 USD is now gone

i need help regarding this.. pls help me regarding this,


i had purchased a nokia E72 just a week ago.. i had a problem relating the
silent key not working upto the mark.. i went to nokia customer care centre
they kept the phone for a day or so then they said its a manufacturing fault
in some UI and has to be send to nokia delhi for repair for 10days..... i
just wanted ask nokia is this justified that a person is paying 20k bucks
for buying a cell from such a well reputed company has to face such problems
in the cell... and has to submit his cell to care center in just a week
after buying it... how ridiculous it can be...??
i mean cant they check in the quality of the phone n then introduce it in
the market.. what kinda stuff they r providing to people... charging heavily
n providing crap...this kinda things are not acceptable...
shall i go for some legal action about this or what...??


pls guide me. what to do..
