My cell phone was given to the above mentioned service center on 24/08/09 at 13:56, for rectification of the on/off switch(rectified by the same service center in April: charges paid Rs. 350:00) since the problem occurred again I opted to go to the same place. Once my cell phone was handed over to the advisors, I was told, the cell phone would be checked and an estimate would be given I agreed for the same. I was made to wait for around 2 hours+ and was told that the charges would be in addition to the normal service charges, however since there was no part replacement required, the engineer agreed to do it within the service charges. After around 20-30 minutes I am told that the navigation key is not working which was absolutely wrong, when I disagreed the officials argued it is not their fault it is my fault and when I insisted, I was told to leave the handset and they (Nokia) call me when the handset is ready. I did not receive any phone calls for two days, when I went back to the service center, I was given an estimate of Rs 850:00 additional which if I am ready to pay I could take the handset the same day, when I disagreed I haven't received my handset till date. I was contacted by Ismail on Aug 31:08:09 and was told some software installations need to be made.
The question is why is the customer suffering when the instrument has been tampered by a Nokia Authorized service center official.
