Nokia Xpressmusic 5800 — poor quality of the product

Sir,
My name is Dr.Punith K. I am working as a consultant in M S Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalroe. I have been a part of nokia family ever since I started using mobile. I have changed 5 mobiles and all have been nokia. But this time is the worst experience with nokia. I bought my nokia 5800 (IMEI no. [protected]) 2 months ago. Within 2 weeks, there was dusting accumulating between the screen and glass. I went and showed them. Till I went inside everything was working fine. I gave the phone for inspection and after 5 minutes they say the touch screen is gone and they asked me to replace it. Since I did not want to make big fuss of it, I payed Rs.1700 and got it replaced. But the problem did not end there. Dust continued to accumulate again. When I went back, they said it is normal for it accumulate and asked me to get it cleaned regularly. I was shocked to hear the response. I mean I never expected a big company to make such defective phones where dust always gets accumulated. Now, my head phones are not working. I cannot hear from the left piece at all. I went to get it checked. They say I had to give it and they will need minimum 15 days to get it replaced. I mean this is the worst customer care I have experienced in my entire life. Like I am a doctor and with the present swine flu pandemic situation I need my head phone as I receive my calls in hospital only through it to minimize contact and contamination.
The main reason I always buy nokia is for it good quality. With the present experience I surely have switch my brand henceforth. As a last ditch effort I write this complaint to request for help. I cannot be roaming to nokia care shop nor can I use my phone without headphone. Kindly look into the matter. I will be waiting for an appropriate response at the earliest.

GET A LIFE AND PUT YOUR TIME ON MORE FRUITFUL ACTIVITY INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT A MOBILE PHONE, THERE IS MUCH MORE TO DO IN LIFE. I WONDER WHAT COMPLAINS YOU HAVE AGAINST YOUR WIFE? To the Doctor,

I have faced similar problem with one of the nokia models, and well I do not hold nokia responsible, it is our chalta hai attitude which allows the corporate to get away it with it. There have been no reforms in government or Law Enforcement policy in handling and providing quick verdict. Its our own lack of Interest to fight for our right makes it possible. As you are a busy man, though money you spent on the phone is important, but trying to get a solution for this problem through direct channels with nokia or legal channels is more time consuming and hurts revenue as you mis out on your practice so we choose ok money gone down the drain, no point in putting good money behind bad money.

To the distinguished Mr. John Victor & Vinu,

First so called superior race of humans who have finally learned how to use the mobile phones, where so busy with the phone they actually missed out on the most important lessons of life. There is still time for you to learn, adapt and change. But its highly unlikely you'd do it as your head is so far up your that you think that is a space cockpit with instant choco icecream maker. Learn to respect others and specially elders and women.

Second I would say this, if our markets stops buying products from your companies, where will they make their revenue ? All Western markets are saturated and there are only so many phones you can sell where almost every one has a cell phone. Your companies came to countires like india cuz they see a potential for them to make money.

HI MR.PUNITH. I HAVE THE SAME MODEL SINCE MAY 2009. AND MY FRNDS TOO. BUT STILL I DIDN'T ANY PROBS WITH MY HANDSET. I THINK YOU HAVE TO VISIT ANY OTHER CUSTOMER CARE NOKIA IN INDIA.
