[Resolved] Indian Railways — not granting sleeper ticket during day | |
i am a engineering student..i was denied a sleeper ticket at SALEM JUNCTION..during day the train(WEST COAST EXPRESS)usually has jam packed general compartments.. while the sleeper compartments usually go empty..yet tickets aren't issued.. the TT's are also very hostile...plaese restore giving day time sleeper tickets.. its really affecting the students and other working class people.. yours sincerely GLORIN SEBASTIAN Was this information helpful? | |

Sleeper Ticket — Sleeper Ticket
Sir,It has happened many a times when I purchase a Sleeper Ticket and get inside a Sleeper compartment, people starts arguing that I am not entitled to travel in a reserved compartment.
At last when I contact with the TTE, he says that in such and such train, these are the compartments to be travelled by Sleeper Class ticket holders.
Why not this information is passed on to the travellers before issuing the Sleeper Class Ticket? After paying much higher amount, dont they have the right to know their seating particulars?
