[Resolved]  Pan Card — Date of Birth mismatch in PAN card

I applied for the PAN card in Oct 2007 and submitted all the documents providing my photograph address proof and age proof and i recieved the PAN card within few days but the Date Of Birth was incorrect.there was a difference of 20 years in my date of birth on the pan card even after providing the proof of date of birth so the first question is does the PAN Card department verify and check the documents when someone is applying for it.and i applied for the correction in the PAN Card twice first time I applied i got a letter stating that the department has found mismatch in my name and i applied the third time for the correction of the date of birth on my PAN Card and i got another letter stating that there is a mismatch in the date of birth.obviously i had this mismatch and that was the reason i applied for the correction and i enclosed the date of birth proof again.I am tired of doing all this and going through this again and again the IT department is pathetic and our services are rediculous.If this is the way the goverment services and department works then the goverment should be ashamed on it.
