[Resolved]  UTI Technology Services Ltd. — Request to reissue the cheque

Sir / Madam,

As per your e-mail dated 22nd September'2010, I like to inform you that this is a dividend warrant of Rs. 513.30 dt. 18.06.2010 (Cheque No. 524359 dt. 18.06.2010) against INV. ID/FOLIO NUMBER[protected] and WARRANT NO. [protected]. According to UTI's documents with the cheque this is a dividend against Maturity MIP-96-IV issued in favour of myself (PARITOSH BISWAS) on State Bank of India, Taratala Branch (Branch Code - 4647). Unit Trust of India did not mentioned any certificate number with the documents and I do not remember certificate number as per your requirements.

Please note that after submitting the said cheque at State Bank of India, Taratala Branch, in my Savings Account Number, the said cheque has not been cleared, because, it shows 'Out of Range' as per Cheque Return Memo (Respond Code 401) of State Bank of India, Taratala Branch dated 31.07.2010. When I enquired the matter at SBI, Taratala Branch, as per their version, it is the fault o[censored]nit Trust of India, because, the cheque no. 524359 dt. 18.06.2010 did not show in the site. But when I intimated the matter to the Unit Trust of India, 29 Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata – 700 001, as per the version o[censored]nit Trust of India, Kolkata, it is fault of State Bank of India. It may be State Bank of India or Unit Trust of India. But why the customers like me be suffered or harassed for this?

Please also note that after getting the original cheque along with ‘Cheque Return Memo’ from SBI, Taratala Branch, I contacted Office of the Unit Trust of India, 29 Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata – 700 001 on 02.08.2010 and 05.08.2010 along with all documents. As per version of the dealing staff (Ms. Anjana Roy) and her Officer, this is not the fault o[censored]nit Trust of India, this is the fault of State Bank of India. They have advised me to write letter to the Mumbai Office and Kolkata Office of the UTI with the copy to the State Bank of India, Mumbai and Kolkata Office.

As per version o[censored]nit Trust of India, Kolkata Office, I sent a letter to Unit Trust of India, Mumbai Office through E-mail on 22.08.2010 for solving the above-mentioned matter.

As per instruction of Mr Rohan, UTITSL, Complaints Section, UTI, Mumbai Office, dated 25.08.2010, I submitted original cheque (Cheque No. 524359 dt. 18.06.2010), xerox attested copy of ‘Cheque Return Memo’, xerox attested copy (1st Page) of Old Pass Book, A/c. No. PC-3450, xerox attested copy (1st Page) New Pass Book, CBS A/c. No. [protected], State Bank of India, Taratala Branch (Branch Code – 4647) to the Office of the Unit Trust of India, 29, Netaji Subhas Road, Kolkata – 700 001 on 02.09.2010.

I intimated the said matter to Mr. Rohan, UTI, Mumbai Office on 08.09.2010 and 14.09.2010, but I feel strange that since a long time has been elapsed, I do not get any feedback and cheque from UTI, Kolkata Office.

Recently, on 22.09.2010 I have received a e-mail from Shradha Shilkar, UTI TSL, Mumbai Office
where I have been advised to provide Folio no./Unit Certificate no/ Id no. to take necessary action which I mentioned my first letter dated 22.08.2010 and I have mentioned in the first paragraph of this letter.

Kindly note that I have been harrassing since a long time for the said cheque, so kindly instruct the Unit Trust of India, Kolkata Office, to re-issue the cheque immediately or credit the said amount of Rs. 513.30 to SB A/c. No. [protected] of State Bank of India, Taratala Branch, at the earliest convenience. If not possible, please advise me where I shall go for the said cheque.
