[Resolved]  Planet M — False Refund voucher

I stay in Nerul (E), Navi Mumbai. There is a "Planet M" shop/outlet near to my place. I always purchase CD/DVD's from this shop for more then a year and I am regular and good shopper over here.

In January 2010 month, I have purchased various CD's/DVD's worth more then Rs.1600/- from this shop and within 1-2 days I have returned 2 of the DVD's. They have accepted it as it was still packed but they gave me refund receipt of Rs.398/- for those 2 DVD's instead of refunding money. I was fine with it as every weekend I visit this shop and purchase latest released DVD's.

After few days when I visited shop again and purchase one of the newly released DVD and shown my refund receipt/voucher, they requested me to use this refund voucher in one go not in pieces. This was because new DVD that I was purchasing was just Rs.149/- or so. I said OK at that time and just thought o[censored]sing it whenever I make purchase for 2-3 DVD's together.

Next week, when I visited them again and purchased 3 DVD's and shown them my refund voucher they came up with new rule for me that IT (VOUCHER/RECEIPT) NEEDS TO BE USED WITHIN A WEEK and it was more then 2 weeks now. This time I was actually annoyed as when I tried using it before they suggested me to use it whenever I make purchase of more DVD's. They even defended themselves by saying that we must have told you that it should be used within a week, which wasnt true at all.

Anyways, I still asked them if that is the rule your company (Planet M) has, then give me back my 2 DVD's which I have returned you and you issued me refund receipt/voucher for it. They have even denied for that.

I left the shop and told them that I am not going to visit your shop again as I have lost faith on you guys.

I am not worried about the money, its just Rs.398/- but I think that I have been fooled completely by them as I have lost 2 DVD's and even failed to encash refund receipt provided by them.

I request you to guide me what should I do over here? I am very much serious about it and want to take this ahead legally. Intention is just to teach them lesson so that they dont fool other customer in same way.
