[Resolved]  Police Department — Police Verification problem

Hello sir,

My wife's passport was applied under tatkal scheme with no. BPL-T/.006016/11. She got passport in due time. Very soon two policemen came to the house for verification. All went fine till here. But, later the associated police personnel didn't send the report to the passport office. Assuming that police verification has been done, my wife traveled to US. Then, that policeman had been transferred. The new Town Inspector started fresh verification although it had already been done and my wife had already traveled. Due to this the new officer sent a negative report to the passport office. In few days, a notice came from passport office to complete verification otherwise the passport would be ceased.

Now, my wife cannot travel back to India just for this as this would cost us Rs 125000 or more. What can be done here? We are not responsible for this mistake by police department.
