[Resolved]  Rathimeena Travels. — Improper service and lack of ethics

Hi...I booked for a trip from chennai - Nagercoil with Rathimeena Travels on 23rd may 2009 at 4.00PM.
When I reached the boarding point I asked the driver whether it was the right bus(semi sleeper).
Due to heavy rain I suppose it was not audible to him, So he asked me again and eventually gave me a bad answer.I asked him to show some respect for the customers and he started shouting back at me...
He gather some local drivers who used extremely unethical words...This is the first time I'm facing this with Rathimeena and they were providing better service for me for more than 6 years.
Now since they've got monopoly over the other operators they have changed policies it seems.
Please think twice before using this transprot service...

attenders — absence of attendees

Dear Sir,
I travelled by Chennai Banglore mail on 5th May 2009 by coach A 2, Berth 27. Around the time the train reached Bangarapet, the AC was running to full strength causing much inconvenience to passengers. A few like me who had woken up due to this inconvenience were searching for an attender in all the Ac coaches including First class Ac, A1 and Third AC coach but no one was traceable to help in reducing the AC.
Are nt there supposed to be an attender for every AC coach?

Refer to mainly the owner and the chief managers,
Yesterday, 30 the Aug, 2010, I took your AC Bus from Kumbakonam to Chennai vide Booking ID- RMT 1765661, seat No.5 starting at 2-10PM. In fact I upgraded my ticket from ordinary to AC. I was really happy with the behaviour of the booking staff. Now I am giving you my experience with the travelling staff.
1. At Kmu no one checked our ticket before entry at least up to half an hour of the journey. What would have been the fate of a wrong passenger, inadvertently got into the bus and if that come to light of the staff during their checking the ticket?
2. After starting from Kumbakonam there was no stopping point even after three hours of very very slow moving travel. even the some children inside the bus started crying and were pestering their mothers who were walking with them telling all lies. They might have been cursing themselves for opting for this very comfortable journey. ( Truly the Seating and travelling comfort were worth appreciating) Except that the driving speed was far from expectation. ( I am a retired Defence Vehicles Quality Assurance officer, but did not tell anything to the driver as he might be thinking of the safety and comfort of the passengers.)
3. I requested the attendant to stop at any of the decent hotels for the passengers to have a snack and coffee as every one would nave been habituated for a evening tea. Every time he was telling 'soon', and at last the soon came just after Neyveli ( about 6-15PM) near a Cashew garden in the open road. I was surprised as there were no petty shop even. The attendant promptly opened the front door and said those of you who wants to release your pressure can do so. and you should see the scene inside the bus. All the lower and middle aged ladies tucked themselves a little so that they don't see the scenery. Even the passengers baring few did not had the etiquette to hide themselves. And I also got out and requested the Attendant when they will stop at some decent hotel on the way where we can use the toilet and have a coffee at least.
4. At last the bus came to a halt a place calledreviews submitted by passengers Vkrapandi where all other tourist buses, also had halted. We all got down from the bus and again I saw people were hiding themselves in some dark areas. I also thought this is my fate of the day and was moving towards some corner . suddenly one fellow came from behind and virtually pulled me and said to use the paid toilet and shown me the direction also. I went there and with great pain I used the same and then came out and searched for a good shop to eat something. There is one hotel called 'Classic' where nothing was available available except "saalna". Then I went for some biscuit and a (Good) coffee. as I lighted my cigerate and jst got surprised that the bus is not to be seen.
5. Without wasting time by searching in-between the buses, I ran towards the main road first to ascertain that the bus has not gone away. To my surprise the bus just getting on the main road and I shouted on top of my voice and probably some passenger inside also might have given a call., the door opened while the bus was still moving. I waved and shouted and reached as the bus halted. when I shouted on how they can be careless and leave the passenger the attendant promptly told me that he knew one passenger is missing. when I asked him why he has not given at least a horn or a announcement on their mooving away, the driver (politely, but sternly) tells me, "now that having come get in to the bus" as it is getting delayed. And the bus of course reached safe at 10.10 PM at Koimbedu.

Suggestions :
1.Before starting and at every starting after a halt the attendant should ensure the passengers attendance. If some is missing the bus should not move from where it is halted at least for another 15 minutes while they are making their effort to trace the missing passenger. They should further make safe arrangement for his onward journey in their other buses which are passing by. Proper announcements must be made before starting.
2. AC effect was very good and in fact it was slightly on the coder side. Trust That the management will provide few shawls for the needy, small children and elders.
3. The lighting of the night lights are poor and it is too dark inside. A child ( in this Bus) started crying furiously, until the top tube light was kept on for the rest of the journey. None of the seat top lights are working.
4. While your office staff behaviour was worth mentioning, the behaviour of the running staff ( both to and fro journey) needs lot to be improved.

5. To keep the travel in line with the international level, first of choose the halting point in a better locality, while i do not want to comment on why the drivers choose those places.
6. The management can think of providing at least two Tamill and English papers of two each or four different news papers.

7. In general a good service and further improvement will make it better for many passengers.

Hi,

Very recently an incident happened on the Rathimeena bus from Kumbakonam to Chennai by 11.40 bus.

While on travelling, a guy just tried to close the front seat window, since the front seat girl kept the window slightly opened and through which lot of air was blowing into his face thereby disturbing him from breathing.

At that time by mistake his hand touched the girl since she was very close to the window. All of a sudden she stood and shouted like anything and asked to put on the light and called the attender. The very bad activity of her was she slaped the guy in front of all. I don't know why she behaved like this( Did she need any publicity?).

Being a decent guy, he got down from the bus and moved away. Really I feel pitty on that guy. How he will be suffering after this incident?

Why some girls are behaving like this thinking them as a world beauty, thereby bringing a bad name to all girls?

Why the society(Attender) is also trusting the words of a girl without knowing the truth behind their words?

Think twice before doing an activity or throwing words on others.

I am a regular customer of Rathimeena from the past 2 years and I really dislike this incident.

Eventhough I am a girl, I am advising you Guys be carefull, dont book seats such that a girl is in front / back / side of you.

Dear Sir,

I and my family traveled in Rathi Meena travel from Chennai-Pondicherry on 11th June. The bus started at koyambedu at 11.15pm and reached pondicherry around 2.15 A.M.

The driver stopped the bus in pondicherry on the main road itself instead of dropping us at the bus stand. I told the conductor that i wanted to get dropped at the bus stand not 1.5KM away from the bus stand. But he refused to take the bus to bus stand

It was early in the morning;. We (I, My wife and a 9months old child) were asked to get down at some place where there were few autos standing. The conductor suggested to take a auto to go to bus stand. Following difficulties i faced,

The bus is supposed to drop a passenger at bus stand but the travels didnt do it. Also, What is the gurantee that an auto will take me to the busstand early in the morning, that too 2'o clock. Also i had to 200rupees extra for the auto.

I carried 7lakhs rupees worth of jewellery as we went to pondicherry to attend a family function the next day. I got very nervous when i travelled between the bus dropping zone to the bus stand. It is big lessons learned for me and my whole family is still scolding me for that trip
