[Resolved]  Rediff — Rediff Shopping

Hi,

I had placed order to an iphone 3G on the rediff shopping website on the 11th July 2012 for Rs.12624 Order no: 7243326

The product got delivered to me on 20th July 2012 and I paid cash on delivery. After starting the iphone I noticed that it was defective and not working as it always shows no sim after trying all service provide sim cards and taking the phone to the BPL gallery also. I immediately contacted the seller Mimzy (Prabin Agarwal) on the same day and informed him about the same. He asked me to check few settings on the phone and even after that when it was not working he accepted that the iphone is defective. He assured me that the phone will be replaced within 2 days from then.

I called rediff also the same day to log a complain with them and it is really sad that such complians are not taken on phone and was asked to email to rediff. On writing the email to rediff instead of acting on the complain they asked me to get in touch with the seller which I have already done. Ideally I know rediff and not the seller, so it should be the responsibility of rediff to get in touch with the seller question him and resolve the complete problem.

Today it is already 25th July 2012 which is 5 days from the communicated date. I have made multiple calls to the seller from 20th July when he committed that the iphone will be replaced but forget the replacement the person does not even answer the calls. Rediff is not ready to listen to anything on the call, hence have written multiple emails to rediff mainly for the refund everyday and no body even cares to respond on the emails too.

I never expected this kind of service from a company like rediff.

I need your help in getting my refund and to ensure that rediff does not cheat people anymore. Please help with the procedure to file an official consumer / criminal court complain also.
