I am a resident of Mulund, Mumbai. The exact location of our building is at Dadasaheb Gaikwad Road at Juna Mulund.The timings for power cuts due to the load sheddings are generally fixed for a particular locality. It is fixed for our locality also, i.e. six hours per day. Apart from these hours there is frequent power cut off during mid-night hours, i.e. after 12:00 a.m., (sleeping hours) also at our locality only for one or two hours. During these hours the neighbouring localities do not face such power cut-off.
We understand and are willingly co-operating with the daily scheduled load sheddings. But the power cut during the sleeping hours really is a nuisance which affects our work/studies/etc the following day due to lack of sleep.
We do not know whether the untimely power cut are suggested by MSEB or it is done by the service people at the centre at Mulund. Whatsoever may be the case if this continues it is really becoming a nuisance for the residents at Juna Mulund.
I therefore request you to look into the matter and do the needful to stop the untimely power cuts.

Residents — frequent power cut
Iam a resident OF MAHAVEER NAGAR, KOLATHUR, CHENNAI -99.For the past one month it has been a regular feauture of power cut during night and late mid night, sometime stretching it to till early morning.yesterday night, power cut from 1 am to 5 am.Imagine the position of office goers and school going children.Not to talk about the sufferings of babies less than 5 years of age.Yesterday night i could hear children crying from all quarters because of power cut and undergone severe sleepless night.When i contacted local EB office numbers, the phone is kept off the hook, i beleive. Because even after trying continuosly it says the number is busy, whereas i could get the main EB no.[protected] afer two attempts.Person at main EB is not aware of the powercut in and around mahaveer and senthil nagar area, two put together nearly more than thousand residents are here.Ofcourse he gave me AE number [protected].When i contacted this number, the reply from AE was 'Please do not disturb me during night.Iam sleeping.' How is that an area under his control is completely under dark and he sleeps irresponsibly without even responding to the public at large? As a result it has beome a regular nightmare for both mahaveer nagar and senthil nagar residents for the past one month.Will any one responsible officer look in to this menace?
