RPO — RPO Hyderabad

Applied for re-issue of my 2 childrens passport under tatkal scheme on 23rd March. Received one passport on 1st of April. The 2nd child has been alloted a passport number on 6th april but passport authorities are not able to give the speedpost dispatch reference number. Passport No.is H3422935

There is complete mayhem at the RPO here with no clear instructions and citizens being given worst treatment.

The Website with status is not updated for weeks on end and NOBODY answers the enquiry telephones that the hyd RPO website boasts of.

I also wonder why our public or government offices are alloted so many public holidays in a year. From the week starting 23rd of March to 10th Of april. The RPO Hyd, has had 4 public holidays in addition to 2 weekly offs, Not to forget the 3 valuable days lost due to an unannounced strike by the staff. And we have holidays for a week coming up between 16th april to 23rd to facilitate the ELECTIONS.

Hyderabad wants to be a IT HUB, and the local status of passport issuance goes to Delhi to be updated on the official site, how ridiculous.

I have lost all hope of getting my childs passport in time for her to join her school back in UAE.
