i got appointed with "ABODE INDIA" as a software engineer...and like other formalities there was one formality of submitting a DD of Rs 50,000 in the name of the company...and now when i go to office,i find it locked and the company has shifted and ran away with my money...plz help!!!!!!!!

Sir/Madam;

I would like to know whether any kind of chawl owner or pagadi system exists. The chawl where we own a room is said to owned by someone. He claims to be the owner of this chawl. All residents here do have their photo ID proofs with them. whenever someone buys or sells a house in this chawl, he has to pay some amount to the owner. people are torchered if they do not. also the some police personnels here and housing authorities are in his favor as he said to bribe them. He never discloses any documentation for the same and every now and then demands money for some purpose. He also keeps harassing people and abusing them if they don't obey him. He uses very foul language. I just want to know why the police does not takes any action against him as he is a famous gunda of this area. He was said to a "tadipaar", then why is he set free even after the police knowing it.

Please let us know what to do and ease many others of this problem.
