For redeeming the reward points I called up the helpline in Sep - Oct 2008 and I was assured 1 year India Today subscription on redemption of 3714 points. No reward was given thereafterwards. After several mails and telephone calls on helpline on 24th feb.2009, I was informed through mail that the redemption is done and I will get 1 year India Today subscription free. This was followed by a written mail from their credit cards marketing head, Mr.Sahay. In the whole melee I lost 150 reward points for not utilizing them on time. the fact is that till date I have not got the reward and so far there is no reponse from this bank. I wrote to the nodal officer of SBI and he wrote back to me saying that the credit card business is separate and forwarded my communication to the same "feedback.gesbi@ge.com". Regularly I call up the helpline and they say that soon they will take action. The soon has not come in 9 months. I request you to go deeper into the issue and expose the whole going ons - find out whether they really do reward the customers or it is just another unfair trade practice. thanks and regards
