I received SMS from Shell International on12/08/09 on [protected] who informed me that my name has been shortlisted for an award of 250, 000pounds.I was requested by them to send my name, address and e-mail address for further correspondence.Accordingly I send them the said particulars. In response they send me the prize claim form through mail to be filled by me and I was advised to e-mail the claim form after duly filling by hand.I send the claim form through e-mail after filling and scanning my particulars and signatures.

i have got an sms on my aircel mobile that i have won 300000 rupees in shell intl. lucky draw . my mobile no. is [protected]. what should i do get my prize money ?

I do not think here is any truth in this
I read somewhere that Shell Company has denied having conducted such a draw

When the world is going through such a big financial crisis nobody would want to give away
such a huge amount as price money

Even if it is true the information should have been given to your mobile service provider
who would inform you and confirm your ID.

A scanned copy of your id card has no value(it is only valid as a photocopy)and will not be taken as a proof of identity by some company to give away such a big sum.

These people who write to you, if genuine should have had an ID at shell.com and not yahoo or other ids
and you may see a lot of grammatical mistakes in their mails.

They are likely to ask security deposits from you before sending you the money and they will just
stop contacting you once you pay. Many have lost money this way.

Please do not waste money believing this Please be careful and not give away your personal information like bank account number ect to them

i got a msg, yesterday telling that i have won 250000 poundsGBP in shell international mobile draw 2009 and said me to sent a e-mail. I did mail but afterwards when i checked through net i got to know this is fraud please help me if they can create any problem for me.

This is just the case of fooling people. I too received a message saying that i had won 450, 000 pounds and it confused me. These cheaters should be caught with immediate effect and should be punished.

Yes, Even i have received an sms from an international number stating that you have won GBP 250, 000 as a prize money from shell company. Please note it is all scam & non of it is true. Please go to the global site of shell (shell.com) & just type in prize money in the search box, you will find shell saying that it is not involved in any such act. That simply defines that all this is a scam & nothing else.
