I bought one Cordless Phone Siemens Gigaset A 160 from a big Departmental sore in Dubai. I have made several complaints about the same. I have received the Confirmation of receipt, promising a reply in 2 days. However, even after my repeated complaints in last few months, there is absolute SILENCE from the side of Siemens, Germany. I wonder, how a company like Siemens do not take care of their own product, which they proudly announce as "MADE IN GERMANY" on the carton ? The same problem i am getting with my siemens A490 cordless phone. I am not able to see any caller line identification on my phone even if i registered fo that facility from the MTNL. MOst frustrating thing is siemens don't have any customer care center or number in india. I purchase this phone from dubai. Where do i go, whom do i contact for this problem. I bought a Gigaset A 495 cordless phone from M/S Vijay Sales at goregaon east on 29th Jan 2012 . My problem started when I reached home and set p the phone . I found many features are not working as told by the salesman and also given in the manual . This includes edit/ call back facility . I feel totally cheated because I paid money for these features . I am not able to get the caller Id displayed on my Gigaset A495 phone. I have been trying to contact Customer care but have not been able to get any response. It is very surprising to me to have no response from a reputed complany like Siemens and I feel I have made a huge mistake by going with the brand name of Siemens. I have purchased 2 phones for 2 rooms and not able to get the caller id in either.
Also - there is no contact No provided for India in the list of contacts, which adds to the frustration. Can I get any help?
