[Resolved]  Soft Drinks — Charging Beyond MRP

Address:Pune, Maharashtra

Hi all, This is a country where 3% of the citizens are taxed to run the economy of the country and then the taxed money is converted into black money too!! did not understand??
Just think of this-- not one single retailer in the country sells cold drinks at MRP. Infact MRP is a silly joke which just depicts the pitiable condition of the country's law making abilities.

Retailers just make up their mood to charge some extra money from the consumer for delivering the cold drink. If the weather is hot, the extra charges on a 1 lit bottle can go beyond 15 Rs per bottle, where the MRP is Rs35! with a minimum of Rs5 which a good and decent retailer would charge.
What happens to this 15 rs? Is this not generation of black money? If questioned and opposed, they simply return you the money and take back the bottle!
Same is the case with any brand of Liquor!
Same is the case with milk!
Same is the case with newspaper vendors!
Same is the case with vendors on the railway station!
Same is the case with vendors in airports!

This can be so rampant only if the tax authorities are hand in glove with the entire chain.

Just a food for thought: If the estimated industry for soft drinks in india is around Rs10000 Cr and if a bottle csting MRP of 35 is charged Rs15 extra, then the black money generation only in this estimated soft drinks market would be approx Rs4286 cr!! Think about the other industries too!!

Has this country lost control on how it is to be run? Or are the so called brainy IAS and IPS using their brain power to cultivate this black money??

None of such retailers give a tax invoice, they give an estimate and most of them dont even give that! how does anyone substantiate the claim too??

Mythology say we have few crore Gods....! Not one of them seem to be coming forward to help the honest and desperate tax payer who first pay the tax and then tastes his money!

Soft Drinks — Increase selling price

Dear Sir/Mam,
I want to complain about the shopkeepers increasing the price of the soft drinks. The shopkeepers in our region are selling the soft drinks at more price than the m.r.p. And now even they use to erase the m.r.p of bottle.

On being asked about they just say if you have to buy then buy or just move to some other shop. Sir even on moving to the next shop the story remains the same. Sir I request you to think about it and do something.

Thank You.

all soft drinks — charging extra money

Shops in Kelambakkam, chennai 603103, sells soft drinks like coco cola, pepsi, fanta, etc at price more than the MRP. Eg. 1litre coco cola is Rs.32 and the are selling for Rs.35. I asked, they replied all the shop in kelambakkam sells at same price. the extra money price is collected for cooling the soft drink.

Soft Drinks — Charge more than MRP

Hello Sir/Ma'am,

The retail shop in Airoli (Navi Mumbai), Mulund and Vikroli (Mumbai) areas charge one or two rupee more than MRP cost on soft drinks and Mineral water. When asked about their demand for charging, they say because they used coolers and refrigerators to cool the soft drinks and mineral water they are liable to charge more. Please advise me on this.

Soft Drinks — Extra charge for cooling

This is with regards to the extra charge that is levied by all shops in Mahim (W) on cold drinks as a charge for cooling over and above the MRP, hence all shops are following the same malpractice there is no point in mentioning any specific shop address. I hope some action is taken or else this is just another complaint logged in the books.

Regards,
